Angela's PaperArts: Father's Day Two Panel Pop Up Card

It's Father's Day tomorrow here in Australia.  I've made this card for my husband who is a fantastic Dad and deserves to be celebrated tomorrow.

Angela's PaperArts: Father's Day two panel pop up card

This card is a two panel pop up card. Instead of creating the card by manually cutting out all the pieces, I used the Snazzi Scrappin Two Panel Pop Up Card die set. This made it much quicker to create the card, although I did cut a larger card base for the card in white cardstock.

Here's a closer look at the inside of the card.

I've added a white cardstock panel behind the right pop up panel so a message can be written there.

Other products used on this card include Stampin' Up! Sunrise Sailing stamp, die & embossing folder bundle and cardstock, Scrapbook Fantasies Island Sands patterned paper. and Snazzi Scrappin's "Happy Father's Day" die.

Angela's PaperArts: Father's Day explosion box

I'm getting ready for Father's Day this weekend and made this Explosion Box card for my Dad.

Angelas PaperArts: Father's day explosion box

When the lid of the box is removed the card sides fall down and the message is revealed.

I created a 'toolbox' to go in the middle of the card which will be filled before Father's Day. You can easily add chocolates, money or other small gifts inside the toolbox.

Here's a close-up of the centre of the card with the toolbox.

These cards are simple to make but look so effective. You simply need a 12"x12"/30.5x30.5cm piece of cardstock scored every 4"/10.16cm and you cut out the four corners. To make a lid for the box you make it a smidge wider than 4"/10.16cm. It can be decorated to suit any occasion.

I've used a variety of products on this card including Stampin' Up!'s Geared Up Garage stamp/die bundle and cardstock, Scrapbook Fantasies Robot Antics patterned paper, tag & chipboard and Snazzi Scrappin's 'Happy Father's Day' die.

Angela's PaperArts: Take to the Sky Floating Panel Father's Day card

It's Father's Day today here in Australia and I made this card for my Dad.

It's a Floating Panel card aka Pop-up Panel card and also acts like an easel card due to the way it's propped open on the side.

Angela's PaperArts: Stampin Up Take To The Sky and Adventurous Sky bundle Floating Panel Father's Day card

The card features the Stampin' Up! Take to the Sky designer series paper and Spotlight on Nature circle dies. I did use a retired stamp set for the plane on my card, but the current Adventurous Sky stamp & die bundle is similar and was made to co-ordinate with the Take To The Sky paper too.

Here's an overhead view of the card where you can see how the focal embellishment 'floats' above the card base.

It does fold flat for posting too.

Angela's PaperArts: Triple Point Father's Day card

It's Father's Day here in Australia this Sunday and I've been making cards suitable for the occasion for both my husband and Dad. Here's the card I made for my husband (which my son has already given to him).

Angela's PaperArts: Stampin Up 3D fern and Nature's Prints stamp set

It's a Triple Point card that features the Stampin' Up! Fern 3D embossing folder, Nature's Prints stamp set and new Joy to Christmas designer series paper being released on 6 September, 2023.

The front 'Happy Father's Day' sentiment & diecut are from the retired Garage Gears set. I also used dies from Snazzi Scrappin to cut & assemble the card pieces quickly & easily instead of having to cut the pieces the old fashioned way.

Here's a standing view of the card.

Angela's PaperArts: Father's Day Vintage Tools Faux Centre Step card

I've been seeing a few Faux Centre Step cards on the internet lately and thought I'd give it a try.

For a Centre Step card, I've always used the traditional method to create this style of card where you need to do partial cutting/make slits within the card base, so thought the faux version may be easier to do.  If you'd like to see instructions to create the traditional Centre Step Card, you can find my tutorial here.

Here's the Faux Centre Step card that I made for my Dad for Father's Day this Sunday.

Angela's PaperArts: Stampin Up Faux Centre Step Card featuring Textured Chic DSP and Vintage Tools

It features the Textured Chic Specialty Designer Series Paper, Distressed Gold 12x12" paper, Stylish Shapes dies for the banners & sentiment strips along with the Vintage Tools stamp set.

Here's a side view of the card.

Here's the back of the card where I kept with the Vintage Tools theme and embossed the Evening Evergreen cardstock with the Timber 3D embossing folder for added texture.

Angela's PaperArts: Stampin Up Faux Centre Step Card featuring Textured Chic DSP and Vintage Tools

The positive for using the faux method over the traditional method is that you don't need to have a special paper trimmer or be skilled with a craft knife when creating this card.  The negative to this method is that it uses a lot more cardstock and designer series paper, so it isn't as economical to make.

The products used on this project can be purchased from my online store if you live in Australia.

It's all happening in September at Stampin' Up!

Angela's PaperArts: Stampin Up Friends are like seashells father's day card

I made this card for my Dad for Father's Day earlier his month featuring the Stampin' Up! Friends Area Like Seashells bundle and Seashells 3D embossing folder.

Angela's PaperArts: Stampin Up Friends Are Like Seashells & Seashells 3D embossing father's day card

I love the versatility of this bundle as it can be used for a variety of occasions - just swap out the Happy Father's Day sentiment from the Best Year stamp set that I used on this card for any other occasion. I used a sponge dauber to sponge ink over some of the raised embossed sections of the seashells to highlight them.

The products used are currently available and can be purchased from my online store if you live in Australia. Plus don't forget that until 30 September 2021, for every $90 you spend on products from my online store, you can choose a free Sale-a-Bration item.  You can see the available Sale-a-Bration items here.

Best year father's day card

I'd like to wish all the Dads a very Happy Father's Day this Sunday.  This card was made for my Scottish Dad in the colours of my family's tartan (seen on the right side of the picture).

Angela Lovel, Angela's PaperArts, Stampin' Up! Best Year and Best Plaid Builder dies card

The Stampin' Up! Best Plaid Builder dies made it easy to re-create the family's tartan as a background for this card.  I also used the co-ordinating Best Year stamp set and combined two of its sentiments to create the card's sentiment.

Here's a larger photo of the card by itself.  The colour scheme is Whisper White, Basic Black ,Night of Navy and Shaded Spruce.

Father's Day arrow card

It's Father's Day this Sunday in Australia and I made this arrow card for my son to give to his Dad.

Stampin' Up! Up & Away card by Angela Lovel, Angela's PaperArts

The arrow card isn't hard to make and is really just a few simple folds and a matter of decorating it to suit.

I used the Stampin' Up! Blueberry Bushel card stock as a base for the card and decorated it using the Best Route Designer Series Paper.  I then used the  Lift Me Up  stamp set along with the co-ordinating Up & Away framelits to create the  hot air balloon and cloud embellishments on the card.

If you like this card, all products used are listed below. I also conduct papercrafting classes each month - please contact me for further details if you live in Melbourne, Australia.  Private classes for you and your friends can also be arranged for local crafters.

Nailed It Father's Day card

One of my favourite sets in the Stampin' Up! 2017 Occasions Catalogue for masculine cards is the retiring Nailed It bundle.  Here's a Father's Day card made using the Nailed It stamp set.

To create this card I started with a Stampin' Up! Basic Black card base and adhered a layer of Urban Underground Designer Series Paper (DSP) on top.  I then took a smaller piece of Very Vanilla card stock and using my Stampin' Write Markers, directly coloured the various tool stamps. When using this marker direct to stamp technique, don't forget to 'huff/breathe' onto your stamp to reactivate the ink just before stamping.  I then cut the Very Vanilla card stock diagonally and adhered it to the card base with some additional DSP trim too.  The Happy Father's Day sentiment was again stamped  using the marker direct to stamp technique.  Some linen thread, DSP flags and Urban Underground embellishments completes the card.

All products used on this card have been listed below - just click on the picture and it will take you to my online shop where they can be viewed and purchased if still available.

Workshops and papercrafting classes are available - please contact me for details.  If you enjoy papercrafting and the Stampin' Up! products you may want to consider joining my team.  Click on the Join My Team link at the top of this page for more information or feel free to contact me to discuss the joining benefits if you live in Australia.
