Mother's Day Storybook card

I'm getting ready for Mother's Day with the Stampin' Up! Dressed to Impress stamp set & co-ordinating All Dressed up dies. I created a storybook card and matching gift bag.

Here's the front of the card with its recessed panel of Best Dressed Designer Series Paper and embossed card stock where I used the Parisian Flourish embossing folder for added interest:

You open up the card to find the 'storybook' special fold insert inside.

Here's a collage of the project.

The inside of this card was inspired by Dawn Griffiths, although all measurements, stamp sets and colour combinations used have changed and I've converted this special fold card to suit our metric paper sizes too.

Come sail away Z fold birthday card

I needed to make a masculine card for a 60th birthday and felt the Stampin' Up! Come Sail Away suite would be the perfect choice for this person.

Angela Lovel, Angela's PaperArts: Stampin' Up! Come sail away 60th birthday Z fold card

This Z fold card features the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper along with the Sailing Home bundle with its co-ordinating stamp and dies set. I used the Stamparatus hinge technique to create the multi coloured rope chain on the inside the card.

Easter treats

If you're looking for a quick and easy Easter treat, these 'bunny ears' wraps are ideal.

Angela Lovel, Angela's PaperArts: SU Easter bunny treat wrap

To make the wrap:
  1. Cut some Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper strips 30.5 x 3.5cm
  2. Score at the 4cm mark from both ends of the strip.
  3. Fold over the 4cm scoreline to form the bunny ears.
  4.  Adhere the ears together at the centre only - leave the folded section open to form the bunny ears shape.
  5. Decorate with some ribbon and a stamped Easter greeting.
  6. Fill the centre with either an Easter Egg or in my example, a Lindt Easter Bunny to complete the treat.
If you like this project you may want to consider participating in my classes if you live in Australia.  Given the current social distancing rules due to COVID-19, I've switched to running online classes each month. Timeless tropical card in a box

This style of card is called a 'Card in a Box'. I made this one using the Stampin' Up! Timeless Tropical suite.

Angela Lovel, Angela's PaperArts: SU Timeless Tropical card in a box

It's a relatively easy special fold style of card to make and does fold flat for posting.

Here's a side view of the card.

Country club birthday card

Do you have any golfing fans amongst your family and friends?

Angela Lovel, Angela's PaperArts: SU Country Club card

I used the Stampin' Up! Country Club designer series paper to create this card for a golfer in my family and the paper also happens to be very similar to the family's tartan.

I fussy cut most of the embellishments on this card from the Country Club designer series paper.  There is also a Clubhouse stamp set and Golf Club dies bundle available too.

If you like this project you may want to consider attending a papercrafting class. Given the current social distancing rules, I've switched to running online classes each month - please contact me for further details if you live in Australia.
