Ten years ago today I joined Stampin' Up! as an Independent demonstrator. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Why?

Angela's PaperArts: It's A Science birthday card

Today I'm farewelling the Stampin' Up! It's A Science stamp set.

This is such a good stamp set for making cards for those who love science. I coloured the microscope using the Stampin' Blends alcohol markers. The coloured image was then layered onto a diecut from the Perennial Postage die set.

Angela's PaperArts: Farewell Stampin' Up! Circle Sayings stamp set

Over the next few posts, I'm going to share some of my favourite Stampin' Up! products which are retiring at the end of April 2024 and will also be  discounted from Tuesday, 9 April 2024.

The first product is the Circle Sayings stamp set.  I've found this set very versatile and have used it on many cards over the past year, including this Aztec Pyramid card. This card also features the retiring Artistic dies too.

Easter Basket

If you have an Easter egg, bilbi or bunny that doesn't have packaging, why not create this quick & easy Easter basket.

You can use any patterned paper or cardstock to create these baskets. I also decorated them using the Stampin' Up! Bough Punch, recently retired Heartfelt Hellos Sale-A-Bration Easter sentiment along with the retiring soon Double Oval punch.

You can find the template and instructions for making this basket here, under My Tutorials.

You can adjust the size of paper to suit your Easter gift. For example, the Easter Egg basket below was made using a 9" x 9" piece of paper.  It's a great way to use up excess patterned paper too.

I would like to give a shout out to Darrell Lea this year. They're donating to the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation with every purchase of the egg shown in my photo above.  It's wonderful to see a company supporting this very underfunded & deadliest women's cancer.

Angela's PaperArts: Gold Foiled Flowers 'hello' card

I'm still enjoying using the Stampin' Up! Gold Foiled Flowers cards & envelopes set to create cards.  This card uses that beautiful foiled paper, but I've coloured in some of the flowers & leaves using Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.

As the gold wreath from the Lifetime of Love bundle was initially too large for under my sentiment, I cut it apart to resize it to fit perfectly.

Angela's PaperArts: Stampin' Up! Gold Foiled Flower thank you cards

I needed some thank you cards and thought I'd use the new Stampin' Up! Gold Foiled Flower card bases to create these cards. These card bases also have co-ordinating envelopes in the set.

As the gold foiling is on both the front and back of the card base, I decided to cut the card in half and create two card fronts. It was an easy way to stretch my supply of this beautiful paper.

As the Gold Foiled Flower card bases are so pretty, it did all the hard work and I only needed a sentiment and a gold leafy diecut from the Lifetime of Love die set to complete the thank you card.

I'd like to wish those celebrating the Chinese Lunar New Year a very happy, healthy and prosperous Year of the Dragon.

I made this slimline card to send to a friend who does celebrate the lunar new year. Some of the products use include the Stampin' Up! Countryside Corners dies, Distress Gold paper and the sadly retired Joyful Designer Series Paper.

Angela's PaperArts: Stampin' Up! Forever Love birthday card

I couldn't resist the beautiful gold foiled Stampin' Up! Forever Love Designer Series Paper and the co-ordinating Lifetime of Love stamp set & dies bundle.

It's a timeless & elegant design and I used this suite to create a birthday card which I designed to hold a small gift in the inside pocket.

To allow for the extra bulk inside the card, I added a card 'spine' of 0.5cm.

Tip: To create extra interest, I diecut the floral element of the frame in gold glimmer paper and layered it over the main Pretty Peacock coloured diecut frame. To complete the card I added some Adhesive Backed Dragonflies too.

Angela's PaperArts: Bee Mine Square pillow box

You may remember last week that I shared a Pop-up Z fold card I had made using the Stampin' Up! Bee Mine suite. I've also made a co-ordinating Square Pillow Box (which is included in the suite or can be purchased separately) to go with it.

These Square Pillow boxes are easily assembled and already have the adhesive needed to seal the box included on them too.

Tip: stamping on the box before it's assembled is much easier than after it's assembled.  These boxes easily fit some chocolates or other small goodies in them - you can see its depth here.

These Square Pillow boxes can be used for any occasion, including Valentine's Day, Easter or as Wedding favours too.

Angela's PaperArts: Bee Mine Valentine's Day card

With the launch of the new Stampin' Up! January-April Mini catalogue, I couldn't resist the new and very cute Bee Mine suite.  

This Pop-up Z fold card was made using this suite.

I was a bit of a rebel and used Petal Pink ink instead of the usual yellow to stamp and then punch out the bee. The punch is versatile and can be used to create speech bubbles and hearts for other projects too. I also used dies from Snazzi Scrappin to cut & assemble the card pieces quickly & easily instead of having to cut the pieces the old fashioned way.

Angela's PaperArts: Stampin' Up! Sale-a-Bration starts today

Happy New Year!

While many of us may still be on holiday, Stampin’ Up! have been busy and launched the new January-April Mini and Sale-A-Bration catalogues.

Sale-A-Bration:

So what is Sale-A-Bration ('SAB')?  Until 29 February, 2024 you can choose free product listed in the SAB catalogue for every $90 of product ordered.  There is no limit on how many Sale-A-Bration items you can receive as it's based on the total amount of your order.  For example, a $180 order is eligible to choose either 2 x $90 SAB products or 1 x $180 SAB product etc. The SAB items offered are only available while stock lasts or until 29 February at the latest.

There are also two other benefits available during SAB:

• Stampin' rewards: Anyone (or a group) placing a product order of $500 or more will automatically receive the usual stampin' rewards (e.g. select $60 worth of products for free on a $500 order) PLUS you'll also receive an additional $50 stampin' rewards too. So for a $500 order, you can select an additional $110 of any products you like for free. Why not gather your friends' orders and combine them into one group order to get these extra rewards.
• Joining rewards: This year there are 2 joining options which are of terrific value. For $169 you will receive $235 worth of products of your choice and free shipping plus you can also choose for free either:
  • Option 1: The Stampin' Glass Mat Studio set which includes three items being:
    • Heat resistant craft Glass Mat 43.2 x 35.6cm/17" x 14" with grid-lines and measurements noted on it
    • Heat resistant and waterproof Silicone Mat with 4 palette squares 21.3 x 15.2cm/8-3/8" x 6", and
    • Reusable Cleaning cloth 21 x 21cm/8-1/4" x 8-1/4".
