Dandelion Wishes quick & easy card

Sometimes you just need a card that is quick and easy to produce multiple times.  Here's an example of one of my recent customer 'thank you' cards which fits this criteria and could be easily changed to a birthday or other occasions card too.

The card was quick and easy to make using the Stampin' Up! Stamparatus.  I used the Bokeh Dots stamp to create the centre background image in various colours.  I then stamped the dandelions from the Dandelion Wishes stamp set along with the Thank You sentiment from the Daisy Delight stamp set in one go, again using the Stamparatus.  It's so easy to produce multiples of the same card using the Stamparatus tool.

A little tip for using the Bokeh Dots stamp set - since it is a Distinktive stamp which gives the impression of dimension with one stamp, a drier inkpad gives the best results.  If you have a new or very juicy inkpad, use the back of a spoon to push the ink back into the pad so it's a little drier on top before inking up the stamp.

Easter baskets

Happy Easter to all who are celebrating this event.  I made these Easter baskets and filled them with Easter Eggs for the ladies who attended my last class.  They feature the Stampin' Up! Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper, Daisy Delight stamp set and Daisy punch.

These baskets are easy to make as they’re just a 6x6” / 15x15cm piece of paper scored at 2”/5cm, 4”/10cm on two sides. A couple of cuts are made (see template below) and bring the cut edges up to meet in the middle. Secure with a brad or adhesive then decorate to suit.

Here’s the template:

Let it ride card

One of the understated stamp sets in the Occasions Catalogue is the Let It Ride stamp set.  I made this card featuring this set.

I kept the colours neutral on this card and watercoloured the horse image.  I added a frame around the image by using the Stitched Rectangle frame dies. I highlighted the sentiment by adding a rustic touch with the burlap ribbon. If you have horse or nature loving friends, make sure you get this set as it is versatile, can be used for male or female cards and has some lovely images.

Tombow multipurpose glue holder

Sometimes you just stumble upon the perfect solution for your crafty tools.  I like storing my Tombow Multipurpose liquid glue upside down so it's ready to use immediately.  I found this cheap little holder on ebay and the Tombow fits into it perfectly.  It's a nail polish bottle holder which I've repurposed for my Tombow.  It works so well that I thought I'd share this tip with you.

Birthday Best Catch card

I made this card for a friend's birthday and it features the Stampin' Up! Best Catch stamp and die set bundle.

I do like adding layers and texture on a card and this one is no exception.  The card base has been stamped with the Crackle Paint stamp.  I coloured the fish using the Stampin' Blends and layered that over stamped and diecut Stitched Shapes circles.  The reeds were diecut from the Catch of the Day set and sponged for a little extra depth of colour.
