Angela's PaperArts: Holly Berry Christmas

I'm making a start on my Christmas cards.

This one was quick and easy to make, and I mixed & matched sets to create it. 

I layered some Shaded Spruce cardstock in the middle of the card base and then layered some of the Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper on top.  The centre piece was diecut from the Holly Berry dies set. There is also a co-ordinating stamp set to match these dies.  I then added the Merry Christmas sentiment from the Brightest Glow stamp set in Real Red ink. There's also a set of dies to co-ordinate with this stamp set too.  A few Red rhinestones and the card was finished.

Angela's PaperArts: Brilliant Wings embossed birthday card

One of my favourite Stampin' Up! products for adding texture is Embossing Folders.

For this card's background I've combined two old techniques from when I used to do a lot of mixed media.

To create this card:

1. I inked the Pretty Flowers embossing folder itself with different inks and then embossed the Basic White cardstock.
2. I then swiped my retired Delicata silver inkpad over the raised embossing which adds to the distressed background effect.

The butterflies are from the Brilliant Wings die set. I've used a combination of silver Foundry Wax and silver embossing powder around the edges of the cardstock and on the butterfly wings. 

The sentiment is from the Celebrating You stamp set and I used the Very Best Trio Punch to create the slanted edge.  If you'd like to see all the other features and a video on how to get the most out of the Very Best Trio Punch, you can see my post here.
