One of my favourite Stampin' Up! products for adding texture is Embossing Folders.
For this card's background I've combined two old techniques from when I used to do a lot of mixed media.
To create this card:
- I inked the Pretty Flowers embossing folder itself with different inks and then embossed the Basic White cardstock.
- I then swiped my retired Delicata silver inkpad over the raised embossing which adds to the distressed background effect.
The butterflies are from the Brilliant Wings die set. I've used a combination of silver Foundry Wax and silver embossing powder around the edges of the cardstock and on the butterfly wings.
The sentiment is from the Celebrating You stamp set and I used the Very Best Trio Punch to create the slanted edge. If you'd like to see all the other features and a video on how to get the most out of the Very Best Trio Punch, you can see my post here.
The products used on this project can be purchased from my online store if you live in Australia.
Thanks for visiting.
