How lovely is the colour combination in the Stampin' Up! Expressions of Kindness kit.

Angela's PaperArts: City Sights 18th birthday easel card

The new Stampin' Up! City Sights card kit is terrific for quick & easy cards.

I also stepped up one of the kit card fronts by creating this 18th birthday easel card.  The 'Celebrate' sentiment is from the Wanted to Say die set.

If you're running short of time and need to quickly makes some Christmas cards, why not consider the Watercolor Christmas Project Kit.

Moroccan Designer Father's Day

It's Father's Day in Australia this Sunday and I used the Designer Tin of Cards kit to make this Father's Day card.

The Designer Tin of Cards kit contains 16 cards, four different card designs and colours along with embellishments and envelopes, but you can modify the design to suit any occasion like as I did for this Father's Day card.

To make this card I started with the recommended design (detailed instructions are provided within the Designer Tin kit).  I added a layer of the 5/8" Burlap Ribbon under the circle sentiment.  For the sentiment I used stamps from the Guy Greetings stamp set to create the 'World's Greatest Father' sentiment which was stamped in Dapper Denim ink.  I then used the  Designer Tin of Cards 'rays' stamp underneath the sentiment in Cajun Craze ink and added a Dapper Denim Enamel Dot (which are on sale this week) in the centre.  I diecut the bunting banner at the stop right of the card using the Balloon Framelits and Moroccan Designer Series Paper and added two matching Dapper Denim Enamel Dots on each end to complete the card.

Here are three examples of the Moroccan card design that I've made from the kit, all with a similar base design but slightly different finishes to suit the occasion.  The middle 'Thank You' card is the one that has detailed instructions within the kit.

The products used on the three cards have been listed below - just click on the picture and it will take you to my online store where the product can be purchased.  Workshops and papercrafting classes are also available - please contact me for details.

Christmas Shaker Cards

Stampin' Up! has made getting ready for Christmas easy.  Their 'To You & Yours Shaker Cards Project Kit' makes 18 cards in total, six of each design and has nearly everything you need to complete the cards in the kit.

I did make some changes to the instructions provided in the kit.  For example, I dry embossed the front of all the cards and used stamps already in my stash for one of the sentiments and some background stamping inside the shaker cards too.  To see a larger version of the cards, just click on the picture above.  Should you prefer, the kit does have a matching stamp set called 'To You and Yours Too' which can be purchased along with the kit.

As this kit is now on the Retiring Christmas product list, I'd recommend you get in quick before it's sold out.

The key products used on this card have been listed below - just click on the picture and it will take you to my online store where the product can be purchased.  Papercrafting classes are available.

Cottage Greetings Kit

Stampin' Up! have released some wonderful card kits this year.  One of my favourite kits is the Cottage Greetings Kit which has enough supplies to make 15 cards - five each of three designs plus co-ordinating envelopes.  As with any kit, you can also add to it using your own supplies and change the suggested designs too.  You only need to supply your own sentiment stamps, ink and some adhesive (although the kit does come with foam dimensionals).

Here's three of the cards from the kit which have some little touches of my own.  The sentiments are from the co-ordinating Cottage Greetings stamp set and were stamped using Bermuda Bay and Delightful Dijon ink

Here are the individual cards with the first card made true to the instructions.

I added a butterfly stamped using the Bitty Butterfly punch, Papillon Potpourri stamp set and Blushing Bride ink.

I couldn't resist adding a silver ribbon bow onto this card.

Next week I'll show you how you can use some of the kit to make a Christmas card.

All products used on this card have been listed below.  Click on the picture and it will take you to my online store where the product can be purchased.  Papercrafting classes are available.
