A friend recently retired and so I made her this card.
The card base paper was from the retired Thoughtful Journey paper pack and I used the colours from that paper as inspiration to ink blend the top layer. I then stamped the Happy Retirement message from the Stampin' Up! Happy Place stamp set onto the ink blended cardstock.
A couple of diecut palm trees from my stash finished off the card.
I used the Stampin' Up! free Sale-a-Bration Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper to create this chocolate slider gift box and co-ordinating birthday card. You can find my video tutorial for this project at the end of this post.
These slider gift boxes can be made in any size and for any occasion. You can see how to make this chocolate slider gift box on my youtube channel here.

I cut out a section of the Dainty Flowers paper, layered it onto a co-ordinating cardstock mat and adhered it onto the card base with dimensionals to give it some height.
Alternatively, you can use a modern take on the 'rip & flip' technique where you flip over one of the diecut pieces to show the reverse paper pattern.
Which do you prefer? The same pattern version or the rip & flip version?

A couple of weeks ago I made a card using the Stampin' Up! Brightest Beauty stamp set. I thought I'd use the same design, but make it in my recipient's favourite colour and also use the Silver & Gold 6x6 Designer Series Paper I received for free during Sale-A-Bration.
I wanted to use the Silver & Gold foil paper, but needed to keep to the purple colour theme - so I got out my inks and Stampin' Up! Blending Brushes and changed the white to purple - but still let the gold foil dots shine.
You can find the products used on this card in my online storeand just a reminder that Sale-A-Bration ends on 31 August, 2022.

I simply rotated the Basic White card stock mat to punch the corners which gives it a less formal look as the corners are not all the same. I then used the Labels Aglow dies to diecut the circular holes in the mat for added interest.
The silver foil photo corners used on the card were diecut using the Fabulous Frames dies. Sadly the designer series paper and number dies are retired.
If you've not used this punch before, you can view my tips video here.

A few weeks ago I posted a Floating Gap card which I had made for my Mum for Mother's Day. You can see it here. As I've received a few queries about the card, I thought I'd share a short video on how to make it.
I used the Fabulous Frames dies for the centre frame, but did add photo corners from this die set onto the card after the video was finished. The sentiment is from the Celebrating You stamp set. Again thanks go to Iced Images for the inspiration behind the design of my card. The floral embellishment on the card comes from the Good Fortune die set.
Here's the video on how to make this card. Please note it is an unedited Facebook Live replay.

Cover the whole card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black inkby swiping the ink pad across the card stock.
Now the magic begins - using a piece of kitchen towel, wipe over the card stock. The black ink will be removed from the clear heat embossed images and they will shine through the black background.

I inlaid alternating colours by adhering them into the white diecut.
I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Biggest Wish stamp set onto another piece of Basic White cardstock and used the retiring Tailored Tag punch to flag the ends of sentiment.
You can effectively make four cards out of the technique and mix and match the card base as you have four complete diecuts.

It's that time of the year when we find ourselves needing little gift treats to hand out to family & friends. I used the Stampin' Up! Pretty Pillow Box dies set to create these treats which were filled with various chocolates.
This landscape version of the Pretty Pillow Box has the pillow box curved ends glued closed and the centre flap is tucked under the embellishments (which were also in the die set).
This portrait version has the centre flap glued closed and the ends are able to opened like a traditional pillow box. I decorated it using a tree from the Christmas Trees dies upon which I had sponged some darker ink to give it some shading & dimension.
The products used on these projects are currently available and can be purchased from my online store if you live in Australia.
Tip: Use the Stampin' Up! Foam Adhesive Strips to ensure that your shaker card sequins or glitter stay in place. The foam adhesive strips can easily be shaped around the curves of the baubles or other diecut shapes.
