Angela's PaperArts: Biggest Wish slimline birthday card

I made this slimline birthday card featuring the Stampin' Up! Slim Card dies and Biggest Wish stamp set for a family member's birthday.

I used the inlaid diecut technique to create this card.  

• I first diecut the arrow Slim Card die in Basic White cardstock and adhered it to the slimline card base. 
• I then used the contrasting blue cardstock colours of Night of Navy, Misty Moonlight and Balmy Blue to diecut the same shape.
• I inlaid alternating colours by adhering them into the white diecut. 
• I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Biggest Wish stamp set onto another piece of Basic White cardstock and used the retiring Tailored Tag punch to flag the ends of sentiment.  

You can effectively make four cards out of the technique and mix and match the card base as you have four complete diecuts.

Poinsettia slimline Christmas card

I’ve started making Christmas cards to avoid any last minute rush. It also helps that the Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper used on this card is on sale this month.  It teams beautifully with the Poinsettia Petals stamp set and co-ordinating dies bundle and the slimline card size.
