Stampin' Up! Banners Pick a Punch

The release of the new Stampin' Up! Aug-Dec 2020 Mini Catalogue is always an exciting time and I wanted to share one of my new favourite products from the catalogue with you.  It's the Banners Pick a Punch.

It provides for six different options to create a banner or label which can be mixed & matched to create many layering possibilities for your sentiments.   I've created the chart below to show you just some of the possibilities.

Balloon birthday card

Who's a fan of the movie Up?  When making this birthday card using the Stampin' Up! Balloon Bouquet punch, the movie Up came to mind and inspired some of the design.

This card also shows how to add some interest to punched shapes too by doing more than just punching card stock:

1. Punch Designer Series Paper
2. Dry emboss the punched shape, or
3. Use a background or texture stamp to add some colour to the punched shape.

These are just three things you can do to step up a plain punched shape.

The card also features the Dainty Diamonds embossing folder and Playful Alphabet die set.

All Dressed Up gift bag

I used the Stampin' Up! All Dressed Up dies to create this cute gift bag. The dies also co-ordinate beautifully with the Dressed to Impress stamp set. 

To add extra texture, I used the Parisian Flourish 3D embossing folder to emboss the front of the bag.

Ornate style bleached birthday card

I used a very old but effective technique to create this card featuring the Stampin' Up! Ornate Style stamp set and co-ordinating Ornate Layer dies - the bleaching technique.

To create this style of card, I heat embossed the Ornate Style floral stamp.  I then used an Aqua Painter to paint sections of the cardstock with bleach.  This removes the colour from the cardstock as can be seen in the three large 'cream' coloured flowers.
