Angela's PaperArts: Stampin' Up! Delicate Bauble & embossing paste masked Christmas card

I've started making some Christmas cards and keeping with my mask theme this month, I've used one of the Stampin' Up! Adorning Designs Decorative masks and embossing paste to create this Christmas card.

Angela's PaperArts: Stampin Up Delicate bauble, embossing paste and basic border die Christmas card

It also features one of the dies from the Delicate Bauble die set and a diecut border in silver foil from the Basic Borders die set too.

Tip: If your embossing paste has started to harden, just add a little bit of water as needed and stir to soften again.

I used Stampin' Up! Shimmery White embossing paste and the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks to create the sparkly background on this card.  The ornament was stamped and punched out using the Christmas Gleaming bundle.

Here's a close-up of the sparkle on this card.

Winter Woods special quad fold card

I enjoy making special fold cards at Christmas time and this year is no exception.

Stampin' Up! Winter Woods special fold card by Angela Lovel, Angela's PaperArts

I adapted the template provided by Ruth Hamilton to make this an A5 sized card (half an A4 sheet).  It features the Stampin' Up! Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper, Winter Woods stamp set and co-ordinating thinlits.  The Christmas tree has been decorated with Shimmery Embossing Paste to represent snow and add some sparkle to the card. The Everyday Label punch and Labels to Love stamp set were used to decorate the back of the card and provide space to write a message to the recipient.

Here's a close up of some of the details on this card.

Embossed Brightly Lit Christmas card

I fell in love with the Stampin' Up! Brightly Lit Christmas stamp set & co-ordinating Christmas Lamppost Thinlits Dies bundle and thought I'd make another card featuring this bundle to share with you today.

Stampin' Up! Brightly Lit Christmas card by Angela Lovel, Angela's PaperArts

To create the card I started with a Stampin' Up! Real Red card base and layered it with the Christmas Around The World Designer Series Paper and a smaller piece of Real Red card stock.  I then coloured some embossing paste and using the brick mask, layered the paste onto the Very Vanilla card stock and adhered it to the card base.  The lamppost was diecut and the Merry Christmas sentiment stamped and layered over the embossing paste.  A little poinsettia flower from the Carols of Christmas bundle was stamped, diecut and layered onto the card with some Gold 1/8" ribbon.

Workshops and papercrafting classes are available - please contact me for details.  If you enjoy papercrafting and the Stampin' Up! products you may want to consider joining my team.  Click on the Join My Team link at the top of this page for more information or feel free to contact me to discuss the joining benefits if you live in Australia.

Happy birthday

I thoroughly enjoyed making this birthday card.

Stampin' Up! Happy Birthday thinlits and embossing paste card by Angela Lovel, Angela's PaperArts

To create this card I started with a Stampin' Up! Thick Whisper White card base.  I then embossed some of the standard Whisper White card stock using the Sparkle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and layered it onto the card base.

To create the copper side panel, I used the Pattern Party Decorative Masks and Embossing Paste on some Whisper White card stock.  The paste is very easy to use and if you can butter your toast, you can use the Stampin' Up! embossing paste - just keep your palette knife flat when applying the paste and you'll get a nice smooth finish.  When the paste was still slightly damp to touch, I brushed some copper pigment powder onto the paste and it immediately adhered to the paste.  It only takes a few minutes for the paste to dry and lock in the pigment powder.  As an alternate to pigment powder you can for example use glitter, paint or ink to colour the paste. Heat embossing with Stampin' Up! copper embossing powder would also work too!  Once dry, I layered the embossed panel onto a slighty larger Basic Black card stock panel and adhered it to the left side of the card.

To complete the card I diecut the Happy Birthday sentiment using the Happy Birthday Thinlits die and adhered it to the card.
