Angela's PaperArts: Iconic dies grunge birthday card

Last week I shared a 'clean & simple' version of a birthday card featuring the versatile Stampin' Up! Iconic dies.  This week I'm sharing a more distressed/grungy version of the card which has the same cluster of embellishments, but a very different background.

The Stampin' Up! Iconic dies are lovely to work with and can be used for many occasions.  I also used a timber embossing folder similar to the Timber 3D Embossing Folder and did ink blending using the Blending Brushes to give a distressed/grungy feel to the card base.  

The sentiment is from the Forever Fern stamp set.

Angela's PaperArts: Stampin Up Iconic birthday card

I always need birthday cards and this one features the versatile Stampin' Up! Iconic dies.

The Stampin' Up! Iconic dies are so cute and this card was quick to make.  I also used the Stitched Greenery die to create the stitched leafy background on the card base.

The sentiment is from the Artistically Inked stamp set and it was punched out using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch.

Angela's PaperArts: Happy Lunar New Year

To those celebrating the Lunar New Year next week, I'd like to wish you happiness and prosperity for the Year of the Tiger.

I made several of this bookfold style card for friends who do celebrate this occasion.

This card features the Stampin' Up! Wild Cats stamp set which also has co-ordinating dies, Gold Foil,  the gold Simply Elegant trim and some Metallic Pearls.

The Wild Cats stamp set has the option of stamping a tiger or cheetah and is a terrific set for making cards for animal lovers.

Angela's PaperArts: Sale-A-Bration is here

Happy New Year!  I hope you and your family had an enjoyable time over the Christmas and New Year holiday period.

While many of us may still be on holiday, Stampin’ Up! aren’t and the new January-June Mini catalogue along with Sale-A-Bration (where you can choose one or more free items with an eligible order) launched today.

If you ordered from me recently you should have received a copy of the catalogues.  If not, here’s a link to each of the online versions:

There are a some products from the new catalogues which are yet to arrive into the warehouse due to unavoidable shipping delays caused by Covid-19, but they are on their way and expected to be available sometime after 10th January.

Here also are a couple of minor catalogue corrections.

So what is Sale-A-Bration ('SAB')?  Until 28 February, you can choose free product for every $90 of product ordered.  There is no limit on how many Sale-A-Bration items you can receive as it's based on the total amount of your order.  For example, a $180 order is eligible to choose either 2 x Level 1 SAB products or 1 x Level 2 SAB product etc.

There are also two other benefits during SAB:

• Host rewards: Any workshop or individual product order of $500 or more will automatically receive the Calming Camellia stamp set for free. Why not gather your friends' orders and combine them into a workshop order to get the set for free.
• Joining rewards: For $169 you can join Stampin' Up! and receive $235 worth of products of your choice PLUS during SAB, you can also select two additional stamp sets for free.  Effectively you can get up to $348 of product for the $169 joining cost.  If this is of interest to you, please let me know as I'm happy to answer any questions you may have about this option. Alternatively, here's a link to read more about it too.

Angela's PaperArts: Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year

Angela's Paperarts: Poinsettia Whimsy & Wonder card

This card features the gorgeous Stampin' Up! Poinsettia dies along with the sadly retiring Christmas to Remember stamp set and Whimsy & Wonder Designer Series Paper.

The front of the card isn't the full width of the card base as this allows for the inside panel to show when the card is closed. 

To get the two colours onto the one sentiment stamp, I firstly inked up the stamp in Misty Moonlight ink, wiped off the ink from 'Christmas' and used my Polished Pink Stampin' Write marker to add ink onto this word before stamping it onto the inside of the card.

Angela's PaperArts: Stampin' Up! Delicate Baubles gift tag

At this time of the year, we're often looking for gift tags to add onto wrapped gifts. 

This tag features the Stampin' Up! Delicate Baubles dies. I also used the Metallic Mesh ribbon to attach the tag onto the gift bag.

There was plenty of room on the back of the tag to write my message to the recipient.
