Angela's PaperArts: Stampin Up Treasured Medallions card

Sadly the Stampin' Up! Treasured Medallion stamp set is retiring next week and I've certainly enjoyed creating cards with it.

For this version I coloured the images using my Stampin Blends alcohol markers.

You may remember the black & pink version above that I made earlier this year.  While the stamped design is identical to today's card, using different techniques can give a completely different look to your card.  So don't be afraid to copy one of your previous designs and use a different technique to change its overall look.

Which do you prefer?  The black & pink Joseph's coat technique or white Stampin Blends alcohol marker coloured one?

Angela's PaperArts: Interlocked Treasured Medallion birthday card

This interlocked gatefold card features the sadly retiring Treasured Medallion stamp set and True Love Designer Series Paper.

When the interlocked gatefold opens, the birthday message is revealed inside.

This card features a simple Black, White and Melon Mambo colour scheme.  The gatefold design was inspired by fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator, Bianca Oberauer.

Treasured medallion split negative card

I'm still on a roll using the Stampin' Up! Treasured Medallion stamp set.  This time I combined it with the split negative technique.

I also used the True Love Designer Series Paper to co-ordinate with the black & white split negative focal image.  I taught how to make this card in my online class this month. While the class kit has sold out, the class itself is still available if you'd like learn how to make this style card and use your own supplies. You also don't have to use a symmetrical shape for this technique.  You can use any focal stamp to create this effect.  Here's an example of where I've used the Stampin' Up! Delicate Petals floral image and instead of white heat embossing, I've stamped in the sadly retired Delicata Silver metallic ink to get a similar effect. While the split negative image doesn't quite 'pop' as well as using white embossing powder on the Basic Black cardstock, it is still effective.

Treasured Medallion card

As many of my crafty friends know, I do like creating projects with medallion or mandala stamps.  This card is no exception and it features the Stampin' Up! Treasured Medallion stamp set.

I used the Joseph's Coat technique to get this effect and the bright colours contrast so well with the black background. I also added some sequins to give it some extra shine too. If you'd like to learn this technique, I'll be teaching it in my April 2021 class.
