Daisy birthday card

When I first bought the Stampin' Up! Daisy Punch and co-ordinating Daisy Delight stamp set, I couldn't stop making cards and gift packaging featuring the punched daisy (love it!) - so I challenged myself to make a card using just stamp set only and here it is.

I started with a Stampin' Up! Night of Navy card base.  I then diecut and adhered the Daffodil Delight edge borders which had been made using the Flourish Thinlits border die.  A layer of Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper was then adhered on top.

To create the centre focal piece I first punched some Daffodil Delight card stock with the Banner Triple punch and adhered it to the card.  I stamped the Happy Birthday in Night of Navy ink and covered it with a mask before stamping the flowers/stems. This piece was diecut using the Lots of Labels framelits die set and then adhered to the card.  A Daffodil Delight bow completed the card.

Delightful Mother's Day sneak peek

This Sunday is Mother's Day in Australia and I'd like to wish all the Mums a very Happy Mother's Day.   I made this card for my Mum using the new Stampin' Up! Delightful Daisy suite and Happy Birthday Thinlits which will be available from 1 June 2017.

To make this card I started with a Stampin' Up! Daffodil Delight card base.  I then layered Whisper White card stock and Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper (DSP) on top.  A smaller strip of Delightful Daisy DSP was cut and some Daffodil Delight Double Stitched ribbon was added down the centre of the DSP and adhered to the card base.  I then used the Daisy Delight stamp set to stamp the daisies, punched them out using the Daisy Punch and layered them together.  I stamped the leaves in Old Olive ink onto Old Olive card stock and tucked them under the daisy.  The Mother's Day sentiment is from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set and was punched out using the Classic Label Punch.  Two pearls were then added to each end of the sentiment.  The 'Happy' was diecut using the new Happy Birthday Thinlits three times.  It was easy to cut off the 'Birthday' part of the thinlit so I could just use the Happy word.  I layered the three Happy diecuts together to give it some height before adhering it to the card base.

All products used on this card have been listed below - just click on the picture and it will take you to my online shop where they can be viewed and purchased.  The Delightful Daisy producct suite and Happy Birthday Thinlits are in the new Stampin' Up! 2017-18 Annual Catalogue and will be available in my online store from 1 June 2017.

Delightful Daisy Window Box sneak peek

I recently attended the Stampin' Up! demonstrator only 'OnStage' event and got to see and trial some of the new products being released on 1 June 2017 in the new annual catalogue.  One of the product suites I fell in love with was the Delightful Daisy suite.  It is aptly named as it is delightful and I really enjoyed using it on today's project.

Here's an extended Window Box I made which features some of the Delightful Daisy products.

I made the extended Window Box by using the dies from the Stampin' Up! Window Box Thinlits dies set and did the old partial die cutting technique to double the height of the standard Window Box.  I then diecut some patterns in three sides of the box using dies from the same Window Box Thinlits set.  To decorate the box I added some of the sneak peek Stampin' Up! Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper on the other 3 sides of the box.  The top of the box was decorated using leaves from the Flourish Thinlits die set.  To create the daisy I used the Daisy Delight stamp set and stamped in Daffodil Delight ink onto Whisper White paper.  I then punched out three daisies using the new Daisy punch.  The centre was also stamped and punched out using the 1/2" Circle Punch and a bit of Wink of Stella was added to give it some sparkle.
