Angela's PaperArts: Stampin Up Pretty Flowers wedding anniversary card

I made this wedding anniversary card for a very special couple celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary.  

The Stampin' Up! Basic White card mat was embossed with the Pretty Flowers embossing folder for added textured and the sentiment is from the Elegantly Said stamp set.  It also features the recently retired Flowering Vine dies from the Vine Design bundle.

Angela's PaperArts: Hello Vine Design card

A few weeks ago I made a card featuring the gorgeous Stampin' Up! Vine Design stamp set and Gilded Leafing - you can see it here.  As I know not everyone is a fan of Gilded Leafing, I thought I'd make a similar card with stamped images rather than gilded images which seems to give the card a more contemporary look.

The colour scheme selected for this card included Just Jade and Magenta Madness Stampin' Up! inks, along with Basic White cardstock which is lovely and smooth for stamping.  Sadly the Vine Design stamp set and Flowering Vine dies are retiring, but the good news is that the dies will be on sale @ 50% off from 2 June, 2021.  Head here from 2 June to get your discounted dies while stock lasts.

Angela's PaperArts: Gilded Vine Design card

I've combined two of my favourite products from the January-June 2021 catalogue on this card - the Vine Design stamp set with its co-ordinating Flowering Design dies (which can be bought as a discounted bundle) and the Gold Gilded Leafing also known as gilding flakes.

To adhere the Gold Gilded Leafing onto the stamped vine image, I first stamped the Vine Design image in Versamark ink and added the heat & stick powder.  I melted the heat & stick powder with my Heat Tool and quickly added the Gilded Leafing onto the stamped image and pressed it into place.  The end result is a beautifully gilded stamped image that is lovely and shiny 'in real life'.

Tip: You can use the heat & stick powder method to adhere other embellishments to your project such as glitter, light weight beads etc.
