World Cardmaking Day 2020 - trio of cards

Happy World Cardmaking Day!

I'd like to share with you a simple card design which enables you to easily create three cards.  You can keep it simple or step it up, depending on the occasion.  This card template is perfect for quickly making multiple cards.

Here are two samples of the card design - each colour combination provided for three cards each, so there were actually six cards made.

Here's a link to the my video on youtube showing you how to create this style of card and the template (in metric only) needed to cut the cardstock for the three cards in co-ordinating colours.

So why not join me by making a card and sending a card to celebrate today and also to brighten-up someone's day.

Butterfly garland card

We’re nearly at the end of the Stampin’ Up! Sale-A-Bration and you’ll need to get in quick if you’d like the beautiful Botanical Butterfly designer series paper (DSP) used on this card before it’s gone for good.

The front of the card looks like a normal, every day card with the pretty Botanical Butterfly DSP.

However, the inside of the card is where it becomes a bit more interesting.  Upon opening the card you see a pop-up garland of butterflies floating across the middle of the card.

I punched out the butterflies using the Butterfly Duet Punch from one of the Botanical Butterfly DSP sheets to create the garland in the middle of the card for added interest (inspired by Jessica V. Lin).  There are 12 double sided sheets of paper in the Botanical Butterflies DSP pack which is free and only available until 31 March (or while stock lasts) with an eligible $90 order.

Diagonal butterfly cards

I used the beautiful Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper to create both of these cards.

There are 12 double sided sheets of paper in the pack which is free and only available until 31 March (or while stock lasts) with an eligible $90 order.  Instead of cutting the paper in a standard rectangle, I thought I'd add some interest and cut it on an angle.  I used the Celebrate You and Wonderful Floral framelit dies to create a focal border on each card.  The butterflies are from the Butterfly Gala stamp set and co-ordinating Butterfly Duet punch which are available individually or as a bundle with 10% off the RRP.

If you like this style of card, you may also like this version from a few years ago.
