Butterfly crackle card

This card was quick & easy to put together using the Stampin' Up! Butterfly Beauty dies and Crackle Paint background stamp.

To create the background I used the Stampin' Up! Crackle Paint stamp in a co-ordinating colour onto Whisper White card stock.  The two Butterfly Beauty layering dies really make the focal image pop off the card.

80th birthday Z fold card

Butterfly garland card

We’re nearly at the end of the Stampin’ Up! Sale-A-Bration and you’ll need to get in quick if you’d like the beautiful Botanical Butterfly designer series paper (DSP) used on this card before it’s gone for good.

The front of the card looks like a normal, every day card with the pretty Botanical Butterfly DSP.

However, the inside of the card is where it becomes a bit more interesting.  Upon opening the card you see a pop-up garland of butterflies floating across the middle of the card.

I punched out the butterflies using the Butterfly Duet Punch from one of the Botanical Butterfly DSP sheets to create the garland in the middle of the card for added interest (inspired by Jessica V. Lin).  There are 12 double sided sheets of paper in the Botanical Butterflies DSP pack which is free and only available until 31 March (or while stock lasts) with an eligible $90 order.

Brusho butterflies

Following on from my card last week which featured Brusho Crystal Colour, I've been playing with the crystals again this week to create the background of this card.

The Stampin' Up! Butterfly Abounds stamp set & co-ordinating Butterfly Beauty Thinlit dies also feature on this card.  The butterfly dies are gorgeous and the colour combinations you could use to layer these together almost endless.  The colour combination I chose was Basic Black and the Grapefruit Grove foil which I received for free due to Sale-A-Bration. So who's celebrating Valentine's Day with cards & chocolates?

Here's one of the Valentine Day's cards that I made this year which could also be used as an anniversary card too.

This card features the hearts from the Stampin' Up! Sunshine Wishes Thinlits set which had been coloured using Brusho Crystal Color and spritzed with Frost White shimmery paint for a little extra shine.
