Brusho butterflies

Following on from my card last week which featured Brusho Crystal Colour, I've been playing with the crystals again this week to create the background of this card.

The Stampin' Up! Butterfly Abounds stamp set & co-ordinating Butterfly Beauty Thinlit dies also feature on this card.  The butterfly dies are gorgeous and the colour combinations you could use to layer these together almost endless.  The colour combination I chose was Basic Black and the Grapefruit Grove foil which I received for free due to Sale-A-Bration. If you spend $90 on products up until 31 March, you can select an item from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue for free while stock lasts.

If you like this project, the products used are all available in my online store and are listed below. Oak tree brushos card

The Stampin' Up! Lovely As A Tree stamp set is a classic set which doesn't date.  I thought I'd use it along with the Brusho colour crystals to create this card.

I used the oak leaf in the set to randomly stamp over the card base.  The focal image was stamped in StazOn black ink and then watercoloured using the Brusho crystals and an Aqua Painter.  The sentiment is stamped onto an excess piece of the Brusho watercoloured paper before being adhered onto the card.  It's a very simple card, but the Brusho colour really 'pops' off the card.

Magical Day wizard card

Today I'm featuring one of my favourite retiring bundles, the Stampin' Up! Magical Day bundle.

This suite is timeless and also fabulous for kids cards or for anyone who enjoys the knights, dragons & wizard legends.

I coloured the background of the card using the Brusho colour crystals.  The rest of the card was made using the Magical Day stamp set and Magical Mates Framelits dies bundle.  I coloured the Wizard using Stampin' Blends.

Here's a closer look at the background which was sprinkled with the Brusho and spritzed with water.  You could use this colour combination for beach/sea backgrounds too.
