Merry Christmas Stocking

This is my last Christmas project for 2017 and hopefully Santa will be filling it up for me in a few days' time.

This stocking was made using the Trim Your Stocking thinlits dies and Merry Christmas Designer Series Paper.  It's a perfect size for a gift card as there's a pillow box attached at the back of the stocking.

Christmas pillow box

If you're looking for some gift packaging, the Stampin' Up! Trim Your Stockings Thinlits Dies not only make Christmas Stockings but also very cute Pillow Boxes too.

I used the gorgeous metallic Year of Cheer Designer Series Paper to create the pillow box from the Trim Your Stockings Thinlits dies set.  It was then embellished by using some of the other dies from the same set too.  How cute is that gold Glimmer Paper bell.

Baby booties gift card holder

The Stampin' Up! Trim Your Stocking Thinlits Dies aren't just for making Christmas Stockings - why not make baby booties and slip a gift card inside for expectant friends.

To make the baby bootie, I used the Stampin' Up! Trim Your Stockings Thinlits Dies to create the Blushing Bride card stock stocking and the pillowbox which goes on the back of the stocking.  I then diecut and adhered the contrasting trims using the Bundle of Love Designer Series Paper.  The sentiment is from the Moon Baby stamp set and was diecut using one of the smaller Sweet & Sassy hearts framelits. A piece of Gold Natural Trim was added to the top of the bootie.
