Yay - I'm so happy to be back sharing my projects with you. Thanks so much for your patience whilst I've been unable to blog the past couple of months.
To kick things off, here is a card I've made for my Mum for Mother's Day next week. This style of card is called a Dome card and I first saw it last year on this video by Intatwyne Designs, a UK based crafter. I've changed the measurements to mostly suit A4 paper and of course I had to do my own style of decorating. As this is a 3D card, it also requires a box envelope which I made to co-ordinate with the card. It's definitely a card best hand delivered.
This card features the Stampin' Up! Petal Palette suite which is comprised of the Petal Palette stamp set, Petals and More Thinlits and Petal Pair Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I've also used the Detailed Floral Thinlits on the front of the card for extra interest and to keep with the floral theme. The colour scheme is Whisper White, Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist.
Here's a front view of the card.
Side view:
This top view really shows the 3D dome shape on the front of the card.
I made the envelope box using a Whisper White box base and Berry Burst lid. It's just a standard box which I've decorated using the Petal Pair Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. You'll also notice a sneak peek on the recipient label of the new Detailed Trio punch being released in the new 2018-19 Annual Catalogue on 1 June 2018.
