Online Extravaganza Sale

Stampin' Up's first of three, 48 hour Online Extravangza sales starts today.

Winter Woods special quad fold card

I enjoy making special fold cards at Christmas time and this year is no exception.

I adapted the template provided by Ruth Hamilton to make this an A5 sized card (half an A4 sheet).  It features the Stampin' Up! Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper, Winter Woods stamp set and co-ordinating thinlits.  The Christmas tree has been decorated with Shimmery Embossing Paste to represent snow and add some sparkle to the card. The Everyday Label punch and Labels to Love stamp set were used to decorate the back of the card and provide space to write a message to the recipient.

Snow is glistening christmas scroll card

Here's one last card featuring the limited edition Snow is Glistening stamp set.  I couldn't resist making this for a friend who loves the colour purple.

The Stampin' Up! Stamparatus stamp positioner tool came in handy for this card as I was able to make a continuous border at the top and bottom of the card by using the hinge technique.  This technique leaves the paper in place on the Stamparatus, stamp the first image then move the plate up the tool's hinge by a couple of notches and stamp again to create the continuous border.  The Stampin' Up! Stamparatus is unique with its ability to do this technique.  To create the scrolled sentiment, I rolled the Whisper White card stock around a skewer before adhering it onto the card.

Snowflake Showcase - a touch of copper

Stampin' Up! have released a limited edition Snowflake Showcase suite of products which will only be available 1-30 November 2018 or while stock lasts.

Here's a card I made featuring the Snow is Glistening stamp set from the suite.  I love the touches of copper on this card including the copper Snowflake I tucked in behind the sentiment.

Don't forget that the Stampin' Blends alcohol markers are also perfect for colouring Rhinestones and other non-porous embellishments to co-ordinate with your project.  I used a Dark Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blend to colour the Rhinestone in this card to co-ordinate with the other copper touches.

Happy All Hallows' Eve

It's that time of the year again when the little trick or treaters come knocking at the door.  I made these pouches to store some special chocolates for just this occasion.

These pouches were created using the 'diaper' fold.  I decorated the Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper using the Spooky Sweets bundle, which includes the Spooky stamp set and Bat punch (which can also be bought separately).

All the good things

Exams are just around the corner for a lot of students, my son included.  Here's a card I made featuring the Stampin' Up! All The Good things stamp set which has a sentiment that is perfect for students as they do need perseverance & courage to successfully get through.  It also features the new distINKtive stamp design.  The All The Good Things stamp set can also be used for other occasions too.

So what is a distINKtive stamp? It's a style of stamp made by Stampin' Up! that adds monochromatic dimension to your stamped image - something you used to have to do using several stamp steps.  So with one fish stamp and some inks I was able to get a varied look in just one pass.

When I think of Spring, I think of weddings and blooming flowers.   I made this card featuring the very pretty Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper - just change the sentiment and it could easily be a wedding, birthday or all occasions card instead of an Anniversary card.

To create this card I started with a Stampin' Up! Very Vanilla card base layered with some Petal Pink cardstock which had been embossed with the Quilt Top Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I then cut down a piece of the Delightfully Detailed Lasercut Designer Series Paper and layered it over the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper and added it to the card base.  The sentiment was stamped using the Detailed With Love stamp set and layered onto the card.  A bow using the Tea Room ribbon completed the card.
