Angela's PaperArts: Step wedding card

Do you have paper that you're keeping for a special occasion?  I have a small amount of 'special' paper which I love and will use on cards for special occasions like my niece's recent wedding.  Here's the wedding card that I made for the couple.

Angela's PaperArts: Stampin Up Wanted to Say dies step wedding card

The card features several retired Stampin' Up! products such as the Floral Heart dies, At First Sight stamp set and the Love You Always foiled designer series paper. I did use the current Wanted To Say dies to create the 'Celebrate' sentiment on the front of the card. I also used dies from Snazzi Scrappin to cut & assemble the card base pieces quickly & easily instead of having to cut the design the old fashioned way.

As the couple were having a Wishing Well at their wedding, I created a pocket to hold the money inside the card. I also used the pocket as a place to write our message to the happy couple.

I added their initials on the 'steps' inside the card to personalise it too.

So am I the only one keeping some paper for a special occasion?

Angela's PaperArts: Wedding survival kit

It's Spring here in Australia and that also means it's Wedding season.

Being a crafter certainly comes in handy when a wedding is being planned.  I made multiples of this Wedding Survival Kit for my niece's recent wedding.

Angela's PaperArts: Wedding Survival Kits with Stampin' Up! Tailor Made Tags dies

I purchased these cute hessian bags and had all the other materials on hand, such as the Stampin' Up! Tailor Made Tag Dies to create all the tags for the kits.

What do you think I included in the kits? I'd love to know if you would have included some different items compared to what I included in the kits.

The current products used on this project can be purchased from my online store if you live in Australia.

Angela's PaperArts: Forever & Always wedding card

This Z fold wedding card was made for my niece and new nephew in-law and features the Forever & Always stamp set and Always dies bundle which sadly retires in June 2021.

It's such a beautiful suite with the Love You Always Specialty Designer Series Paper and co-ordinating Foil Sheets adding a touch of shimmer too. The heart charm was from my personal stash.

Pretty in pink

When I think of Spring, I think of weddings and blooming flowers.   I made this card featuring the very pretty Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper - just change the sentiment and it could easily be a wedding, birthday or all occasions card instead of an Anniversary card.

SU Petal Promenade card by Angela Lovel, Angela's PaperArts

To create this card I started with a Stampin' Up! Very Vanilla card base layered with some Petal Pink cardstock which had been embossed with the Quilt Top Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I then cut down a piece of the Delightfully Detailed Lasercut Designer Series Paper and layered it over the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper and added it to the card base.  The sentiment was stamped using the Detailed With Love stamp set and layered onto the card.  A bow using the Tea Room ribbon completed the card.

If you like this card, all products used are listed below and available from my online shop.  I also conduct papercrafting classes each month - please contact me for further details if you live in Melbourne, Australia.  Private classes for you and your friends can be arranged for local crafters.

Wedding anniversary cake bags

A few weeks ago I posted an invitation I made for a 60th wedding anniversary party and this week I'm sharing the cake bags that were made to match the invitation.

These Stampin' Up! Glassine Gift Bags are food safe and perfect for the couple's party. They're also one of the special offers available at a discount between 8-13 September 2016.  I stamped the images from the Floral Phrases stamp set in Tempting Turquoise ink and left them to dry for about 30 minutes as the Glassine Bags have a slick surface.  Once the ink was dry, I adhered the retired Tempting Turquoise ribbon and heart ribbon charm (from my stash) onto the bags. So quick and easy to do.

These are some of the finished bags (there were a lot more than this made).

The products used on this project have been listed below - just click on the picture and it will take you to my online store where the product can be purchased.  Workshops and papercrafting classes are also available - please contact me for details.

Sneak Peek - Seasonal bells wedding card

The Stampin' Up! 2016 Holiday Catalogue is being released on 1 September and I have a 'sneak peek' for you today as I couldn't wait to use some of its gorgeous new products.  This card features the new Stampin' Up! Seasonable Bells stamp set and co-ordinating Bell Punch which can be purchased separately or as a bundle and save 10%.  It also features the Moroccan Nights stamp set too.

I started with a square Wisteria Wonder card stock base and added a layer of the beautiful Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate in silver dots.  These foil acetate sheets are double sided - with gold on one side and silver on the other so they suit any project (& don't forget to remove the clear protective coating before using it too).  I then added a layer of Silver Foil in the centre of the card.  I stamped the medallion from the Moroccan Nights stamp set in Wisteria Wonder onto Whisper White card stock.  I then stamped the wedding bells from the Seasonal Bells stamp in Wisteria Wonder ink onto Whisper White card stock and added the Mr & Mrs in Elegant Eggplant ink.  I used the Bell Punch to punch out the two stamped bells, layered them onto Silver Foil bells then added them to the medallion.  I finished the centrepiece with a Rhinestone Basic Jewel and 5/8" Silver Satin Ribbon bow.

The Seasonal Bells bundle is versatile and can be use for weddings and Christmas projects too. The products used on this card have been listed below except for the Seasonal Bells and Bell Punch which are available from 1 September 2016 from my online store - just click on the picture and it will take you to my online store where the product can be purchased. If you don't currently have a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, live in Australia and would like a Holiday Catalogue, please let me know. Workshops and papercrafting classes are also available - please contact me for details.

For the newlyweds

Here's a wedding card for a special couple.

I used Stampin' Up!'s thick Whisper White card stock as the base for this card.  I then layered it with the beautiful Silver Fancy Foil Vellum and Silver Foil.  I dry embossed the next layer using the ZigZag embossing folder before placing the Bloomin' Heart diecut from Blushing Bride glimmer paper on top.  The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set and some 1/8" silver ribbon completes the card.

The key products used on this card have been listed below - just click on the picture and it will take you to my online store where the product can be purchased.  Remember that Sale-A-Bration is still running and for every $90 of products you order, you get to chose a free item from the Sale-a-Bration catalogue.  Papercrafting classes are available - feel free to contact me for details.
