Wondrous Wreath Card

I was challenged to make a Christmas card using non traditional colours and here's the result.



I embossed the background using the Stampin' Up! Stylish Stripes embossing folder. I then die cut some of our gorgeous Silver Glitter paper using the Deco Labels die and mounted the Wondrous Wreath which had been stamped and die cut using the Wonderful Wreath framelits onto the glitter paper.  The Noel sentiment was also die cut from the same Wonderful Wreath framelits set. Don't forget that if you buy the Wondrous Wreath stamp set and Wonderful Wreath framelits as a bundle, you can save 15% off RRP.  A touch of Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details and Rhinestones finished off the card which was attached to a Brushed Silver card base.

Festival of trees quick & easy card + weekly deals

I run classes for all levels of papercrafters and recently had a group of ladies new to papercrafting attend and designed this card for them to make.  It may look like a lot of work - but it's a relatively quick & simple card to make and features products from our brand new Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue.


I first embossed the whisper white cardstock with the Filigree Frame textured impressions embossing folder and added dazzling details for some sparkle around the embossed section.  Three trees from the Festival of Trees stamp sets were stamped, punched and layered onto the card.  The sentiment is also from the Festival of Trees stamp set.  A few rhinestone basic jewels completed the card which was layered onto a Lost Lagoon card base.

Father's Day Card 2014 #2

My son asked me to make a Father's Day card for his Dad and I knew exactly what would feature on this card for my husband.

This card is a hybrid card - the plane digital stamp is from the Stampin' Up! My Digital Studio and the rest was handmade by me using all Stampin' Up! products.  You can download a 30 day free trial of My Digital Studio from my store - just click on the link at the top of this page to access the trial version.

 
I embossed the base of the card with the (sadly retired) Cloudy Day embossing folder.  I diecut the plane digital stamp and layered it with dimensionals onto co-ordinating designer series paper and basic gray cardstock.  Some bakers twine and candy dots for extra texture were added too.  The 'DAD' letters were diecut from the Little Letters thinlits.

Happy Father's Day 2014

It's Father's Day this weekend and I've been busily making cards for two of the special men in my life, my dad and husband. 

Here's one of the cards.
 
 
I used a torn mask technique inspired by a card made by my friend and fellow SU demonstrator Kathryn Ruddick a few months ago to feature on this card.  Layers of stamps, inks, a charm from my stash plus some natural linen thread for texture were added to complete the card.
 
With the exception of the charm, retired Sense of Time and Itty Bitty Background stamps, all items used on this card are listed below.
