Sweetbriar rose card

This week I made a clean and simple card featuring the new Stampin' Up! Sweetbriar Rose stamp and Blendabilities alcohol markers.

Here's the card:

I stamped the rose using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and coloured the roses using the Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities with a hint of Daffodil Delight Blendabilties in the centre along with Gold Glitz Dazzling Details.  The leaves were coloured using the Old Olive Blendabilities.  The Blendabilities alcohol markers are easy to use and don't 'pill' the cardstock when blending the colours. The sentiment is from the Wetlands stamp set and I've added a touch of Cherry Cobbler Bakers twine to finish the card.

I've listed the Stampin' Up! products used on this card below.  To view or purchase any of these products, please click on the product picture.  If you have any questions, please feel free to leave a comment or contact me privately - happy to assist anytime.  Papercrafting classes are available.

Rev Up The Fun Sketch Challenge

My nephew is turning 13 very soon and as soon as I saw fellow demonstrator Tina Gillespie's July sketch challenge for our team, I knew it was perfect for what I had in mind for my nephew.

Here's the card.

I did put my own spin on the challenge and love how it turned out with the clusters, layers and texture.  The 'Rev Up The Fun' stamp set has just retired but is still available in My Digital Studio as a digital stamp.  I did use my stamp set which I've kept, but you can get the same look using the digital version and a colour printer.

My Digital Studio allows you to create cards, tags, calendars, photobooks and scrapbooking pages on your computer.  It's available from my store on a 30 day free trial.  How good is that! You can try it and determine whether it's right for you for 30 days.  If you do like it, you can purchase the full version and Stampin' Up! has so many digital stamps, papers, embellishments etc, the possibilities are endless.

If you're interested in viewing or ordering any of the products used  on this card, please click on the pictures below.  To get the free trial version of My Digital Studio - click on the button at the top of my blog.

Christmas in July using everyday stamps

Christmas in July is very popular in my country but what happens if you haven't got any Christmas papers or stamps to make a card?  It's not a problem at all!  With a little imagination you can turn your everyday cardstock and stamp sets into an elegant Christmas card.

Here's an example:

This card was made without any specific Christmas products, even the 'merry Christmas' sentiment is from an all occasions sentiment stamp set.  By carefully selecting your colour scheme, you can give many diecuts and stamp sets a Christmas look. Using metallic/shimmer cardstock and adding layers to the card can also give it a festive look.

I've listed the Stampin' Up! products used on this card below.  To view or purchase any of these products, just click on the product picture.  If you have any questions, please feel free to leave a comment or contact me privately - happy to assist anytime.  Papercrafting classes are also available.
