Watercoloured magnolia card

I've been really enjoying using the Stampin' Up! Good Morning Magnolia stamp set and co-ordinating Magnolia Memory dies.

Stampin' Up! Good morning magnolia watercoloured card by Angela Lovel, Angela's PaperArts

For this card I decided to heat emboss the stamped image with white embossing powder and then watercoloured it featuring the new Rococo Rose ink.  I kept the colouring light rather than full strength to create a delicate look.  A little piece of scallop lace trim under the sentiment added a vintage touch.

If you like this project you may want to consider attending a papercrafting class. I run classes each month - please contact me for further details if you live in Melbourne, Australia.  Private classes for you and your friends can be arranged for local crafters.

Sale-A-Bration Inside The Lines card

During Sale-A-Bration, you can earn the Stampin' Up! Inside The Lines Designer Series Paper ('DSP'). I couldn't resist using the new watercolor pencils to add some colour to the DSP before creating this card.

To create the card I started with a Stampin' Up! Basic Black card base and added a layer of Melon Mambo card stock which had been embossed using the Lovely Lace Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  A thinner layer of Basic Black card stock was added to the left of the card base.

I coloured the Inside The Lines Sale-A-Bration DSP (which is free with an eligible $90 order) using the watercolor pencils and added a strip of it on top of the Basic Black card stock.  To complete the card I added Delightful Dijon 5/8" striped ribbon and Melon Mambo 1/8" stitched ribbon over the Inside The Lines DSP.  The sentiment was created by stamping the 'Celebrate' from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set and punched it out using the Duet Banners Punch. A Melon Mambo 1/8" ribbon bow and Daffodil Delight Enamel Shapes complete the card.

The products used on this card have been listed below - just click on the picture and it will take you to my online store where the product can be purchased. Workshops and papercrafting classes are also available - please contact me for details.  Don't forget that from now until 31 March, spend $90 on Stampin' Up! products and you get to choose a free Sale-a-Bration item.

Beautiful you & brighter days

One of my favourite stamp sets in the newly released 2017 Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalogue is the 'Beautiful You' stamp set.

This quick and easy card started with a Rich Razzleberry card base layered with Whisper White and Sweet Sugarplum card stock which had been embossed with the Polka Dot textured impressions embossing folder (sorry it's hard to see the embossing in this photo).  I stamped and quickly watercoloured the image on Whisper White card stock and layered it onto a very thin mat of Rich Razzleberry card stock and added it to the card base.  A Rich Razzleberry enamel heart completes the focal point.

Just a gentle reminder that between now and 31 March is a perfect time to stock up on your favourite Stampin' Up! products as for every $90 you spend, you get to choose a free item from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue. Spend $180 and you get to choose two free items etc. There is no limit to the number of free items you can choose from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue based on your eligible purchase.

The products used on this card have been listed below - just click on the picture and it will take you to my online store where the product can be purchased.
