Birthday wishes - retiring products

The current Stampin' Up! catalogue is retiring next week and the patterns in the Designer Series Paper (DSP) Stacks are retiring too.  Here's a card using the retiring DSP stack in the Subtles colour range.

I've used the colour combination of Stampin' Up! Blushing Bride, Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla for this card.  I stamped the Flowering Flourish in Blushing Bride and touched my Rose Red Stampin' Write marker to the flower to give it a two tone effect. I sponged Blushing Bride ink around the edges to give it a slightly distressed look.  The birthday sentiment is from the Wetlands stamp set.  The soft cotton Blushing Bride ribbon brings the different elements of the card altogether.

If you like the small polka dot Designer Series Paper which is part of the Subtles DSP Stack, you need to buy it before it retires on 2 June.  After then new patterns are being introduced. If you'd like to learn how to make this and other types of paper based projects, please contact me as workshops and papercrafting classes are available.  The key products used on this card have been listed below - just click on the picture and it will take you to my online store where the product can be purchased.

World's Greatest Dad 'sneak peek' card

The new 2015-16 Stampin' Up! catalogue will be released on 2 June and I've started preparing some 'sneak peek' cards for its launch.   Here's the first sneak peak card.

Can you spot the two sneak peeks on this card?

I've used one of my favourite colour combinations, Island Indigo, Basic Black and Whisper White for this card.  The sentiment is from the Guys Greetings stamp set and the diamonds are a sneak peek from the new Bohemian Borders stamp set.

The second sneak peek is the embossed background which was made using the new Boho Chic textured impressions embossing folder and the BigShot.  I cut the embossed cardstock at an angle and used the tiny wave blade in the Stampin' Up! trimmer to add a decorative edge too.  The embossed cardstock was layered onto Whisper White and Basic Black card base with some baker's twine and a candy dot to complete the card.

These new products will be available for purchase via on my online store on 2 June 2015.  All other products used are listed below - just click on the picture and it will take you to my online store where the product can be purchased.

Stampin' Up! New 2015-16 In-Colors

Are you curious about the new 2015-16 Stampin' Up! In-Colors?

Well here they are on some sample In-Color bookmarks that I made today based on fellow demonstrator, Patty Bennett's template which she kindly shared.  The colours are: Delightful Dijon, Cucumber Crush, Watermelon Wonder, Mint Macaron and Tip Top Taupe. I also added a touch of the In-Color Dotted Lace Trim at the top of each bookmark too which is very pretty in real life.

The cardstock, inks, markers and lace will all be available from 2 June 2015.  Watch out for some sample cards I'll be posting early June to see more of these gorgeous colours.

What's your favourite colour?

Celebrate Sneak Peeks & Retiring Favourites

The 2014-15 Stampin' Up! catalogue ends 2 June 2015 and I've made card featuring the retiring 2013-15 In Color Crisp Cantaloupe, co-ordinating Sequins and Gold Soiree Designer Series Paper.  It also features a sneak peek of the new Endless Birthday Wishes sentiment stamp set available from 2 June 2015 from the new 2015-16 catalogue.

I stamped the gorgeous Flowering Flourish in Garden Green ink for the flourish and used my Crisp Cantaloupe and Calypso Coral markers for the flowers.  I layered a strip of Gold Soiree Designer Series Paper onto the Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock.  I stamped the Celebrate sentiment also in Crisp Cantaloupe and added a twine bow and some sequins to complete the card. If you like any of the retiring products used on this card, please get in quick as they're selling out fast.

If you'd like to learn how to make this and other types of cards, please contact me as workshops and papercrafting classes are available.  The key products used on this card have been listed below - just click on the picture and it will take you to my online store where the product can be purchased.

Birthday wishes

The 2014-15 Stampin' Up! catalogue ends on 2 June 2015 and many of the products in this catalogue are retiring and on sale until then or while stock lasts.  But don't despair - the new 2015-16 catalogue starts 2 June too!

I made these cards to highlight two of the products retiring soon, the Finishing Touches Edgelits die and the Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack as the patterns for the Stacks are changing from 2 June.  In keeping with the 'retired' theme, I used an old favourite stamp set called 'Eastern Influences', but there are many other current sets which you can substitute for this style of card.

To create the card I stamped onto Very Vanilla cardstock to create the focal point which had been sponged around the edge with Blushing Bride ink.  I then mounted it onto some Early Espresso cardstock on which I had used the Finishing Touches edgelit die to make a decorative edge.  I used foam dimensionals to layer this onto the card base with the Blushing Bride polka dot paper from the Designer Series Paper Stack.  The cards have two slightly different finishes for added interest.

If you'd like to learn how to make this and other types of paper based projects, please contact me as workshops and papercrafting classes are available.  The key products (or potential substitutes) used on this card have been listed below - just click on the picture and it will take you to my online store where the product can be purchased.
