Sale-A-Bration Inside The Lines card

During Sale-A-Bration, you can earn the Stampin' Up! Inside The Lines Designer Series Paper ('DSP'). I couldn't resist using the new watercolor pencils to add some colour to the DSP before creating this card.

To create the card I started with a Stampin' Up! Basic Black card base and added a layer of Melon Mambo card stock which had been embossed using the Lovely Lace Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  A thinner layer of Basic Black card stock was added to the left of the card base.

I coloured the Inside The Lines Sale-A-Bration DSP (which is free with an eligible $90 order) using the watercolor pencils and added a strip of it on top of the Basic Black card stock.  To complete the card I added Delightful Dijon 5/8" striped ribbon and Melon Mambo 1/8" stitched ribbon over the Inside The Lines DSP.  The sentiment was created by stamping the 'Celebrate' from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set and punched it out using the Duet Banners Punch. A Melon Mambo 1/8" ribbon bow and Daffodil Delight Enamel Shapes complete the card.

Dragonfly dreams card

The Dragonfly Dreams stamp set and Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits dies from Stampin' Up! were one of my 'must have' bundles from the 2017 Occasions catalogue.

You can make quick and easy cards using this set or step it up with additional layers, embossing, bling and metallic thread.

To make the smaller notecard, I started with a Whisper White Stampin' Up! notecard and stamped the dots from the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set in both Tempting Turquoise and Bermuda Bay.  I stamped the sentiment at the bottom of the card in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I then diecut the five dragonflies in Basic Black card stock using one die from the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits set - they come out of the die already joined together and I just needed to adhere them onto the card.  Quick and easy to do.

To make the stepped up version, I started with base of Bermuda Bay card stock and added a layer of Tempting Turquoise over the top which had been embossed with the Woodgrain textured impressions embossing folder.  I then layered another piece of Bermuda Bay onto the card base.  The same centrepiece as for the notecard above was created, but I added some Silver Metallic Thread under the Dragonflies before adhering them to the Whisper White card stock.  I brushed some Wink of Stella over the Dragonflies to make them sparkle and added a Rhinestone in the centre of each for a little extra bling too. Some Bermuda Bay 1/8" Stitched Ribbon was placed under the sentiment which had been diecut using a die from the Bunch of Banners set. The Whisper White centre piece was then added to the card base.

Birthday carousel

I couldn't resist making this shaker birthday card featuring the Stampin' Up! Carousel Birthday stamp set and co-ordinating Cupcakes & Carousels designer series paper.

I started with a Stampin' Up! Basic Black card base and added a layer of Calypso Coral card stock, more Basic Black card stock and then the Cupcakes & Carousels Designer Series Paper.

To create the circular shaker part of the card, I stamped the carousel horse onto Very Vanilla card stock and coloured it using the Stampin' Up! Watercolour pencils.  I diecut the horse panel along with some Calypso card stock using the largest circular Stitched Shapes framelit.  I then glued a Window Sheet panel to the Calypso Coral circle.  Some foam tape and sequins were added before adhering the stamped image to the Calypso Coral circle  to form the shaker feature.  This was then adhered to the card base.  A bow from the Cupcakes & Carousels embellishment kit along with an enamel dot completed the shaker part of the card.

I stamped the sentiment and diecut it using the Project Life Cards & Labels framelits before adhering it to the card.
