Tropical Z fold card

I do enjoy making a simple version of the Z fold card.  Today's card features the (sadly retiring) Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper by Stampin' Up!.  Fortunately the stamp set and co-ordinating Tropical Chic dies are carrying over into the new annual catalogue.

Tip: Use the colours in the Designer Series Paper to match co-ordinating cardstock.  This way your card is sure to be beautifully colour co-ordinated.

Tropical Escape card

One of my favourite suites from the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue is the Tropical Escape suite.  Its Designer Series Papers are a pretty combination of greens, pink and black and come in a variety of patterns.  The Tropical Chic stamp set and co-ordinating Tropical Thinlits dies allow you create lots of lovely floral arrangements too.

To create this card I started with a Stampin' Up! Shaded Spruce card base layered with two of the Tropical Escape Designer Series Papers with a piece of 1/8" sheer whisper white ribbon covering the join.  I then diecut the square leafy centrepiece and layered some ferns and a stamped flower from the Tropical Chic and Tropical Thinlits bundle onto the card.  The sentiment was stamped and then punched out using the Duet Banner Punch and also layered onto the card.

If you like this card, all products used are listed below and available from my online shop.  Until 31 July, the Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper is included in the buy any 3 packs of Designer Series Paper and get 1 Free deal.  A perfect time to stock up on pretty papers.

I also conduct papercrafting classes each month - please contact me for further details if you live in Melbourne, Australia.  Private classes for you and your friends can be arranged for local crafters.
