Sneak Peek #1: Stampin' Up! 2016-18 In-Color Sweet Sugarplum

I was fortunate to be selected by Stampin' Up! to make card samples using the brand new Stampin' Up! 2016-18 In-Colors for the demonstrator only #OnStage2016 event held in Sydney on 16 April.

I received a couple of new stamp sets along with the five new colours and was asked to make 20 card samples (four of each colour) to highlight the new 2016-18 In-Colors.

This is the first of five posts, one for each colour giving you a sneak peek of the new colours and some of the new stamp sets being released with the new annual catalogue on 1 June 2016.  If you are interested in Stampin' Up! products and are located in Australia, please contact me as I'd be happy to assist you.

Colour #1: Sweet sugarplum

Sweet sugarplum is a soft muted colour which works well with many of the other Stampin' Up! colours such as Rich Razzleberry, Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride, Smoky Slate and Mint Macaron.

This 'happy mother's day' card features the Sweet Sugarplum 30.5cm x 30.5cm (12x12") 2016-18 In-Color DSP stack, card stock, ruched ribbon and classic ink along with the Circle of Spring stamp set and Wondrous Wreath framelits.

This card features the Sweet Sugarplum 30.5cmx30.5cm 2016-18 In-Color DSP stack, card stock, ruched ribbon and classic ink along with the new Love You Lots hostess stamp set.  I watercoloured the elephant and mouse using Smoky Slate and a touch of Sweet Sugarplum classic ink.

This card features the Sweet Sugarplum 30.5cmx30.5cm DSP stack, card stock and classic ink along with the new Layering Love stamp set.  I used the current First Sight stamp set, silver metallic foil doily and bow builder punch to add a touch of elegance to this card.

My last Sweet Sugarplum card featured the new Gift of Love hostess stamp set.  This is a gorgeous two step stamp set and the 'For You' sentiment is also from this same set.  I created a layered frame using the Lots of Labels framelits with Night of Navy and Sweet Sugarplum card stock.

I hope you've enjoyed this sneak peek of some new stamp sets and the Sweet Sugarplum 2016-18 In-Color.  Check back for the other four colours.

Celebrating 18 Guest Book

I'd like to wish all my family, friends and customers a very Merry Christmas and look forward to sharing more Stampin' Up! products and news with you next year. In the meantime, if you have a special occasion coming up, don't forget to have a guest book on hand to capture special messages at the event.

As an example, here's a guest book I made for my son who recently turned 18.

I used a full A4 sheet of Stampin' Up! Bermuda Bay card stock and layered white copy paper inside to capture his guests' messages.  I layered Silver Foil and Bermuda Bay card stock which had been embossed with the Lucky Stars embossing folder onto the card base.  I then diecut some Silver Foil and Whisper White card stock using the Lots of Label framelits to create the focal element.  I used Smoky Slate ink to stamp 'happy birthday' from the Happy Birthday Everyone hostess set available on eligible orders over $250.  I used the Little Letters thinlets dies for 'Ryan'.  I added a key charm from my stash with some of Silver cording onto the focal element.  The metal '18' numbers are from my personal stash too.  I bound the spine of the guest book with Bermuda Bay washi tape from the Cherry on Top washi set.

This didn't take long to make the guest book and co-ordinated with the decorations used for his party too.  It's also a great keepsake of his special party.
