Popular pins

I started uploading my projects to Pinterest not long after I became an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and it's been interesting to see which projects people repin onto their own boards. Here are some of my favourite standard sized cards and projects (although I often make different shaped cards too).  All projects are my original design.

Standard Cards:
One of my most recent pins features the Botanical Builder framelits and Lovely Lace Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I used the inlaid die cut technique on this card's design and a Melon Mambo, Basic Black and Whisper White colour combination.  One card had some bling Silver Glimmer paper ferns and the other has Wild Wasabi ferns, but they're basically the same design.

Another popular card is this Father's Day card which features the Vintage Leaves stamp set, co-ordinating Leaves framelits and the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing folder.

For a Christmas in July event, I made this card with all non-Christmas products, including the Stylish Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  We didn't have Christmas products in the Annual Catalogue at that time and improvisation was needed.  Nearly two years later it's still a favourite.

Memory keeping:
For scrapbooking, this is one of my more recent layouts with my family blurred for privacy reasons. The Bohemian Designer Series Paper with a splash of Rose Red was a perfect match to the colours in the photos last Mother's Day.

3D Items:
This simple little vellum Wedding Curvy Keepsake box has been very popular and features the now retired Delicate Designs Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

Eighteenth birthday decorations consisting of a co-ordinating cake centre piece (made from Stampin' Up! card stock instead of fondant), cake bags and Fry Box treat boxes featuring a Bermuda Bay and Silver colour scheme.

So what do many of these projects which are being repined have in common?  Texture, layering and diecutting!  I love using the Stampin' Up! dies and Textured Impressions Embossing Folders.  I also love layering and clustering elements on a project for added interest.

All projects and the products used can be found on my blog or on Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/alovel1240/.

Thanks for visiting.
