Happy 80th birthday

I made this card for a very special man in my life who celebrated his 80th birthday recently.

I started with a Stampin' Up! Basic Black card stock base and added a couple of layers of paper from the Going Places Designer Series Paper stack. The card's sentiment was stamped using the Happy Birthday Everyone hostess stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black and Lost Lagoon inks and die cut using the Deco Labels Collection framelits in both Very Vanilla and Basic Black card stock.  I added the 80th which was die cut from Lost Lagoon card stock using the Little Numbers thinlets and added a touch of twine from the Baker's twine combo pack.

The inside of the card has also been die cut using the Party Pop-up thinlits dies.  I've also added some stamping to match the front of the card from the Going Global stamp set.

Cutie pie box

Instead of the usual party loot bags, why not use one of these Stampin' Up! Cutie Pie boxes instead.  They can be filled with treats of your choosing.

I first die cut the Stampin' Up! Cutie Pie boxes and assembled them ready for stamping.  You can easily decorate these boxes with a colour scheme to suit your party.  I bought some colourful paper straws from the local $2 shop and cut them down to size to fit over the candles cut from either Gold or Silver Glimmer paper.  I used the Sweet Stack stamp set to decorate these boxes with 'filling', 'icing' and a sentiment on top too.  A bow die is also included in the Cutie Pie framelits set and I made these to co-ordinate with each box.

Gift bag & baby notecards

This gift bag was made for a busy Mum and contains three baby cards and envelopes ready for when friends have their babies.

The bag is based on a design by Caroline from CraftyHallet and the tutorial for making the bag can be found on her website here:  http://www.craftyhallett.co.uk/bag-in-a-box-handbag/

As I was filling the bag with Stampin' Up! Note Cards, I made the bag a bit higher than Caroline's measurements.  You can easily adjust the height of the bag to suit any project.

The Note Cards were my design and I just changed the colour scheme to suit.
