Birthday botanicals

I always need birthday cards and decided to create a couple of cards featuring the new Stampin' Up! Botanicals Builder framelits.

The key to both these cards to is die cut the leaf vine from the Stampin' Up! Botanical Builders framelits set from two different coloured pieces of card stock.  I chose to use Melon Mambo and Basic Black card stock and you do need to keep all the little leaves that fall out of the die (which you would normally throw away).  When you interlace the two different coloured card stock together, you then glue the individual little leaves back in place to complete the card.  The fern leaves and flowers were also die cut using dies from the same Botanical Builders framelit set.  The sentiments are from the Wetlands stamp set which I punched out using the Large Oval and Scallop Oval punches.

I used Wild Wasabi card stock for the fern leaves on this card.  One of the small Iced Rhinestones was added to the centre of the flower.

This card is for those who like a little bling.  I used Silver Glimmer paper to make the fern leaves and added Rhinestones to the flower and sentiment too for a bit of sparkle.

For the newlyweds

Here's a wedding card for a special couple.

I used Stampin' Up!'s thick Whisper White card stock as the base for this card.  I then layered it with the beautiful Silver Fancy Foil Vellum and Silver Foil.  I dry embossed the next layer using the ZigZag embossing folder before placing the Bloomin' Heart diecut from Blushing Bride glimmer paper on top.  The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set and some 1/8" silver ribbon completes the card.

Teddy spring fold card

I couldn't resist making a card with the new Stampin' Up! Bear Hugs stamp set (which also has a matching framelits die set).

I made the spring fold card base using Stampin' Up! Melon Mambo card stock.  I used designer series paper from the Have a Cuppa paper stack and diecut it using the Deco Labels Collection framelits. A banner of Silver Glimmer paper was diecut using a die from the Project Life Cards & Labels framelits set.  The baby bear was then stamped using Basic Black archival ink and the sentiment from the Cottage Greetings stamp set stamped in Melon Mambo ink.  Three Melon Mambo hearts made from the Owl Builder Punch were strung together using White Baker's Twine.  Some 1/8" silver ribbon and Candy Dots complete the card.

Side view of the card which folds flat for posting at no extra cost.
