Corner garden card

I recently received the gorgeous new Stampin' Up! Corner Garden background stamp and couldn't resist making this quick but effective card.

This stamp lends itself to colouring with Blendabilities, Stampin' Up! brand new alcohol markers if using white cardstock as a base.  However, this time I wanted to use a black cardstock base which is perfect for the Versamark/Perfect pearls technique to colour the stamped image.  Such a simple technique but very effective and you do need to work quickly as this is a large stamp to colour.

An alternate way to make the image 'pop' on black cardstock is to heat emboss the image using a light coloured embossing powder (white is best) and then colour the embossing powder with your Blendabilities.  Like me, you may have been doing this for years with other permanent or alcohol markers and it's terrific that the Stampin' Up! Blendabilities work just as well for this technique.  Another tip for using the Blendabilities is to use them to colour match your ribbon.   I used the medium Rich Razzleberry Blendabilities marker to change the colour of the white edge of the ribbon so it become Black and Rich Razzleberry and matched the rest of my card's colour scheme.

I've listed the Stampin' Up! products used below.  To view or purchase any of these products, just click on the picture.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me - happy to assist anytime.
