Angela's PaperArts: Forever Fern starburst card tutorial

I haven't used the sunburst technique in a long time, but the recently retired Stampin' Up! Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper lent itself beautifully to this technique.  A new ombre paper has been released which would work very well with this technique too - it's the Ombre 12x12 specialty paper.

I used both the ombre and patterned side of the DSP to create this card.  The embellishments were created using the Forever Fern stamp set and co-ordinating Flourishing Fern dies.

It's easy to create this style of card.  I cut my paper into rectangles (they can be any size to suit your project) and then cut the rectangle on the diagonal. I used the sizing noted below for my Australian metric A5 sized card.

I then layered the pieces side by side on a card mat and trimmed off the excess before adhering onto the card base. The example below was a second card I made just featuring the alternate ombre pattern.

The products used are available from my online store if you live in Australia and are also listed below. Online papercrafting classes are available for Australian residents and new classes are released each month.  Please contact me if you're interested in learning papercrafting.
