Something Borrowed Wedding Card

A work colleague is getting this weekend and I made this centre step card for the couple featuring the new Stampin' Up! Something Borrowed Designer Series Paper from the Occasions catalogue.

A tutorial detailing how to make a centre step card can be found here.   This wedding card features the Something Borrowed Designer Series Paper with its Whisper White and Sahara Sand colour scheme.  I've used a Hearts Collection framelit to cut out the centre heart which has been stamped with the Everything Eleanor stamp set flourish.  I also used the retired Broadsheet Alphabet for the heat embossed monograms. The Label Card ampersand die was used to join the couple's initials together within the heart.  A good substitute for the retired Broadsheet alphabet stamp is the new Sophisticated Serifs stamp set found on page 44 of the Occasions catalogue.  A couple of itty bitty hearts, leaves, white tulle from my stash and pearls complete this card.

The key products used on this card have been listed below - just click on the picture and it will take you to my online store where the product can be purchased.  From now until 31 March 2015 is a terrific time to place an order as you can receive a free Sale-A-Bration item for every $90 order (excluding shipping).  Click here to learn how to obtain free items during Sale-A-Bration:

Birthday Butterflies

For those who like a bit of 'bling', I've used the same basic design as last Friday's card, but added Stampin's Up! Silver Glitter Paper and Silver heat embossing to add some sparkle to the card. It gives the card a different look and shows the versatility of the products. Which version do you prefer - the Island Indigo (dark teal) or Blackberry Bliss (this card)?

The key products used on this card have been listed below - just click on the picture and it will take you to my online store where the product can be purchased.

Don't forget that from now until 31 March 2015 is also a terrific time to order as you can receive a free Sale-A-Bration item for every $90 you spend (excluding shipping).  Click here to learn how to receive free items during Sale-A-Bration.

Stampin' Up! Butterfly Wishes

The new Stampin' Up! Occasions catalogue is full of inspiration and fantastic products.  For my first card in 2015, I couldn't wait to try out the new Spring Flowers embossing folder, Butterflies Thinlits Dies and the Butterfly Basics stamp set.

To create this card I made an Island Indigo cardstock card base.  Using the BigShot, I embossed an extra piece of Island Indigo cardstock with the new Spring Flowers Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and layered this onto the card base.  I also diecut a Top Note piece in Whisper White.  The Butterfly diecut was stamped using the I Love Lace background stamp.  The sentiment and border are both from the Butterfly Basic stamp set.  Some silver ribbon and rhinestones added the finishing touches to this card.

The key products used on this card have been listed below - just click on the picture and it will take you to my online store where the product can be purchased.  From now until 31 March 2015 is also a terrific time to order as you can receive a free Sale-A-Bration item for every $90 order (excluding shipping).  Click here to learn how to receive free items during Sale-A-Bration:

What's Sale-a-Bration?

Sale-A-Bration is Stampin' Up's! favourite time of the year.  There are several ways in which you can earn free products during Sale-A-Bration until it finishes on 31 March 2015.  You can earn free items by:
  • Shopping:  For every $90 you spend on qualifying Stampin' Up! products you can choose one item for free from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue. For example: if you spend $270 on Stampin' Up! products in one order you can choose three free Sale-A-Bration items!
  • Hosting/Individual Orders: For every qualifying order over $400 (excluding shipping) you will receive an additional $40 hostess credits on top of the usual hostess credits.  For example, a $400 order will give you a $100 hostess credit to obtain free products of your choice instead of the usual $60 hostess credit.
  • Joining: If you love Stampin' Up! products and would like to join as a hobby or business demonstrator, you can choose either a selected kit from the Occasions catalogue or two Sale-A-Bration items for free.
So now is a great time to take advantage of the extra benefits you can gain by hosting a workshop, placing a qualifying order or joining Stampin' Up! Below is a sample of the fantastic Sale-A-Bration items available until 31 March 2015. Don't forget to view the Catalogue to see how these items can be turned into gorgeous projects.
