Angela's PaperArts: Christmas star fun fold card

I'm running a bit late this year making Christmas cards but had to try making the popular star fun fold card.

Here's my version which also folds flat for posting in a 5"x7" envelope.

Angela's PaperArts: Christmas star fun fold card

Here's an overhead view of the card which shows the six point star formation on the left side.

Here's a side view of the card which highlights the shape of the star.

To create this card, I used the retired Stampin' Up! Poinsettia dies, Greetings for You ephemera pack and Real Red cardstock along with Traditional Christmas patterned paper pack by Scrapbook Fantasies.

You can find the tutorial I used to make this card here.

Angela's PaperArts: Happy Place retirement card

A friend recently retired and so I made her this card.

Angela's PaperArts: Stampin Up Happy Place retirement card

The card base paper was from the retired Thoughtful Journey paper pack and I used the colours from that paper as inspiration to ink blend the top layer. I then stamped the Happy Retirement message from the Stampin' Up! Happy Place stamp set onto the ink blended cardstock.

A couple of diecut palm trees from my stash finished off the card.

Angela's PaperArts: Triple Point birthday card

I needed to make a card for someone who loves the colour purple. I created this Triple Point card for her.

Angela's PaperArts: Triple point birthday card

Here's a side view of the card where the front of it stands on the three 'points'.

Angela's PaperArts: Triple point birthday card

Here's how I've decorated the inside of the card. I've added a square piece of patterned paper onto the card base which is partially seen when the card is closed. I then added an additional white cardstock triangle in the middle so I have plenty of space to write a message to the card recipient.

Angela's PaperArts: Triple point birthday card

You may remember a previous Triple Point card that I made a couple of years ago for Father's Day and you can find it here. I mainly used embossed cardstock for that card instead of the patterned paper used here.

I've used a variety of products to create this new Triple Point card. The cardstock, stamps and punched elements are from Stampin' Up!, the patterned paper is from the Scrapbook Fantasies Lavender Dreams collection and the card base & layers were cut using the Snazzi Scrappin triple point card die set.

Tutorial:

While I did use the Snazzi Scrappin' die set to create this card because it makes cutting and assembly quick & easy, I used to cut all the pieces manually using my template (pictured below) as a starting point.

To manually re-create this style of card (with one mat layer):

  1. Cut the cardstock and patterned paper needed for this project based on the template below.
Note: the white paper represents the card base & the green paper represents patterned paper.
Score the card base at 14.8cm long side as noted with dotted lines on the template's white paper.Angela's PaperArts: Triple point card template

  2. Adhere the 'green' triangle layers on top of the card base's corresponding 'white' triangles.
  3. Angle, overlap and adhere the two thinner triangles over the card front centre panel so that the three points are all aligned at the bottom of the card as seen in my Triple Point card above.
  4. Decorate the card front and inside of the card to suit your occasion.
  5. Optional: Cut a 14x14cm square of plain or patterned paper to decorate inside the card.
  6. Optional: Cut another 14cm large triangle in a neutral colour the same size as the large green paper in the template. Adhere this inside the card as a specific space to write your message to the recipient.

Angela's PaperArts: Father's Day Two Panel Pop Up Card

It's Father's Day tomorrow here in Australia.  I've made this card for my husband who is a fantastic Dad and deserves to be celebrated tomorrow.

Angela's PaperArts: Father's Day two panel pop up card

This card is a two panel pop up card. Instead of creating the card by manually cutting out all the pieces, I used the Snazzi Scrappin Two Panel Pop Up Card die set. This made it much quicker to create the card, although I did cut a larger card base for the card in white cardstock.

Here's a closer look at the inside of the card.

Angela's PaperArts: Father's Day two panel pop up card

I've added a white cardstock panel behind the right pop up panel so a message can be written there.

Angela's PaperArts: Father's Day two panel pop up card

Other products used on this card include Stampin' Up! Sunrise Sailing stamp, die & embossing folder bundle and cardstock, Scrapbook Fantasies Island Sands patterned paper. and Snazzi Scrappin's "Happy Father's Day" die.

Angela's PaperArts: Father's Day explosion box

I'm getting ready for Father's Day this weekend and made this Explosion Box card for my Dad.

Angelas PaperArts: Father's day explosion box

When the lid of the box is removed the card sides fall down and the message is revealed.
Angelas PaperArts: Father's day explosion box

I created a 'toolbox' to go in the middle of the card which will be filled before Father's Day. You can easily add chocolates, money or other small gifts inside the toolbox.

Here's a close-up of the centre of the card with the toolbox.
Angelas PaperArts: Father's day explosion box

These cards are simple to make but look so effective. You simply need a 12"x12"/30.5x30.5cm piece of cardstock scored every 4"/10.16cm and you cut out the four corners. To make a lid for the box you make it a smidge wider than 4"/10.16cm. It can be decorated to suit any occasion.

I've used a variety of products on this card including Stampin' Up!'s Geared Up Garage stamp/die bundle and cardstock, Scrapbook Fantasies Robot Antics patterned paper, tag & chipboard and Snazzi Scrappin's 'Happy Father's Day' die.

Angela's PaperArts: Floating hexagon pop out birthday card

This floating hexagon pop out birthday card was created for a close family member's birthday a little while ago.

Angela's PaperArts: Stampin' Up! Country Woods Floating hexagon pop out card

This card features the Stampin' Up! Country Woods Designer Series Paper which was perfect for the beach/sailing theme of this card. This paper is also eligible for the Stampin' Up! Suite Sale end on 30 June, 2025 where you buy one and get another 50% off.

Here's a side view of the card so you can see how the embellishments 'floating' above the back of the card.
Angela's PaperArts: Stampin' Up! Country Woods Floating hexagon pop out card

I was inspired to create my card by Paul Ford's YouTube tutorial. You can see it here. His card and instructions were for a landscape version in imperial measurements. I adapted the concept by creating my own template with metric measurements to suit my portrait card version.

The Stampin' Up! Suite Sale starts today and runs until 30 June 2025.

For every suite or individual product within a suite that you order, you can get 50% off a second equal or lower priced suite or individual suite product. When you start filling your Cart, the lowest priced items will be discounted first.

TIPS:

1. Any items in the Last Chance section of the online store which were part of a suite are also included in the Suite sale.

2. If ordering quite a few items, you may find you save more by putting through more than one order to maximise your discount.  This is what I'm doing for my own orders - I'm putting bundles in one order which ensures I get a second bundle discounted and the cheaper items such as designer series paper, ribbons etc. are going into a second order. It may seem like I'm paying a little extra postage, but getting the discounts on the higher priced items rather than one order only discounting the cheaper items actually saves me money. Depending up what you're considering ordering, you may find this works for you too.

Current Stampin' Up! products can be purchased from my online store if you live in Australia.

Angela's PaperArts: Pop Out Gatefold card with video tutorial

I recently made a Pop Out Gatefold card for my Mum for Mother's Day and thought I'd make a video showing how to create this style of card and share it with my customers.

Here's the inside of the card that's created in the video. It features the Stampin' Up! Kintsugi Inspiration specialty designer series paper, Nested Essentials die set, Beautiful Motifs die set and the Unbounded Love stamp set.

Angela's PaperArts: Double Pop Out Gatefold Mother's Day card

It's Mother's Day here in Australia.

I made this Double Pop Out Gatefold card for my Mum. It features the Stampin' Up! Frames & Flowers Specialty paper.

Here's the card closed with a belly band around it to keep it together.

Here's the card open and I've left two small inside panels blank to write my message. I don't know about you, but my Mum has always been there for me and helped me when I needed it my whole life. I'm truly grateful to have such a wonderful Mum, hence the "thank you for everything" message inside the card.

Here's an overhead view of the card.

The current Stampin' Up! products used on this project can be purchased from my online store if you live in Australia. I also used dies from Snazzi Scrappin to cut & assemble this card base quickly & easily instead of having to manually cut out the design.

Angela's PaperArts: New In Colors & Stampin' Up! 2025-26 Annual Catalogue

The new Stampin' Up! 2025-2026 Annual Catalogue launched today. If you don't have a copy of the catalogue, here's a link to the online version.

With its launch comes five new 2025-2027 In Colors being:

I've created five cards using the new Stampin' Up! 2025-2027 In Colors which also features the Beautiful Motifs stamp set & dies bundle.

Angela's PaperArts: Stampin' Up! 2025-2027 In Color Beautiful Motifs cards

The Beautiful Motifs bundle's die set has two dies which completely cut out an embellishment and three other dies which partially cut an embellishment & leaves it embedded in the paper.  I've used each of these dies on my cards to show you their potential for both cardmaking and scrapbooking

Here's a close-up of the Strawberry Slush card:

TIP: Use the triangular motif die instead of traditional photo corners on your scrapbooking layouts.

Here's a close-up of the Timid Tiger card. I also used the Mini Corrugated 3D embossing folder for extra texture on the background.

Here's a closeup of the Darling Duckling card. I used the Unbounded Love dies for the sentiment mat.

Here's a closeup of the Cloud Cover card

TIP: The flourish die can be snipped apart so that you can use part of the flourish anywhere on a project. An example can be seen on the top left of this card.

Please note: The Cloud Cover large inkpad will not be available as the chemicals in that ink reacted with Stampin' Up!'s firm foam inkpad. The good news is that there are two options to still get this colour in an inkpad, it will be a 2.5cm/1" inkpad instead of the large size. The options are:

  1. Purchase the Cloud Cover ink refill bottle and Uninked Stampin' Spots. You can then ink up one of the spots with the Cloud Cover ink as the ink spot pads are made of a different material and aren't affected by this ink's formula, or
  2. Purchase the Classic Stampin' Spot Small Assortment 1 which has five different coloured ink spots, one of which is Cloud Cover, all inked-up and ready to use.

And lastly, here's the closeup of the Secret Sea card. Given the name of this colour, I paired it with the Soft Waves 3D embossing folder for a textured background.

Angela's PaperArts: Easter egg boxes

I'd like to wish you a very Happy Easter this weekend.

Angela's PaperArts: Stampin Up Storybook Friends easter egg box

I'm getting ready for Easter Sunday by making some boxes featuring the Stampin' Up! Unbounded Beauty patterned paper, the Storybook Moments collection, including the Storybook Friends bundle.

Angela's PaperArts: Stampin Up Storybook Friends easter egg box

One of the frame dies in the Storybook Friends bundle was used to embellish the box, along with one of the diecut elements from the Storybook Moments pack to complete the box which was, of course, filled with lots of little Easter eggs.

The box template was inspired by a tutorial by Sam Donald. The current Stampin' Up! products used on this project can be purchased from my online store if you live in Australia.

Angela's PaperArts: Stampin' Up! Last Chance Products update

It's that time of the year when both the Annual Catalogue and January-April Mini Catalogue are retiring.

Angela's PaperArts: Last chance products April 2025

Some products are carrying-over into the new 2025-2026 Annual Catalogue or are moving to be an Online Exclusives product item.  Products that are actually retiring can be found in the Last Chance Products category of my online store from 1 April, 2025.

So why not visit the Last Chance Products section in my online store. If there's something you like, I'd recommended buying it soon as it's being discontinued and once it's gone, it's gone for good.
