Angela's PaperArts: Tri-panel gatefold card

I recently attended a charity card making day and one of the types of cards we made was a tri-panel gatefold card. I like this style of card and have re-created it using some of my favourite retired patterned papers, the Stampin' Up!, Joy of Christmas DSP.

Here's the card closed and kept together with a bellyband. The gold foil sentiment is from the Greeting For You mix & match ephemera pack.

When the bellyband is removed, the card opens up to reveal the message to the recipient. If needed, you could even add a little pocket for a gift card inside too as there's plenty of space to hold a gift card or money.

While I've made this card in landscape orientation, it can also be easily flipped to be a portrait card too. The choice is yours. It does take a whole sheet of A4 cardstock to create the card base and bellyband, so it's not as economical to create as some other gatefold card styles, but I think the end result is worth it.

Thanks for visiting.

Angela's PaperArts: Christmas star fun fold card

I'm running a bit late this year making Christmas cards but had to try making the popular star fun fold card.

Here's my version which also folds flat for posting in a 5"x7" envelope.

Here's an overhead view of the card which shows the six point star formation on the left side.

Here's a side view of the card which highlights the shape of the star.

To create this card, I used the retired Stampin' Up! Poinsettia dies, Greetings for You ephemera pack and Real Red cardstock along with Traditional Christmas patterned paper pack by Scrapbook Fantasies.

You can find the tutorial I used to make this card here.
